I'm more interesting to see what we do against the Seattle defense. We're the 2nd ranked offensive team in football and this is the best passing attack Seattle will face all year.

Maybe splitting hairs on who is better, but they did face ATL's OFC and it's pretty good as well. Falcons had some success in SEA so I would expect NO to put up some points...21-24 range.

The question is how quickly will the Seattle Defense recover from the Marathon game against Arizona. They were on the field over 46 minutes.
Good point plus a cross country trip.

Not by ESPN? They have NO total D as 16. I didn't spend any undue time searching anywhere else for the stats I quoted?
16th is yards allowed in the real world they are dead last in pts per game:suds:

You're just looking at total yards not total yards per game. We already had a bye week which is the reason why they're 16th in total yards allowed.
I got it. SEA had their bye as well. I didn't want to get into debating every possible stat. I think the majority of stats are a waste of time. They're great for FF, fan shit talking, and cyber metric geeks. But most don't equate to wins and losses. See if WizardHawk wants to debate all the othef stats. I just responded to his question.

Anyone like the Saints to upset the Hawks this week?

Yup. Me.

Can't recall the name of the book, but it was written by a guy named Michael Dibdin and he had a character named Pizza Sal.

Pizza Sal said "Always take the dog at home..."

I smell a Saints win upcoming.

I only used the overall ratings. Not interested in nit picking each individual stat. I was responding to Wizard who asked if they had basically the worst D in the league not points per drive. I'm sure Seattle rates relatively low on points per drive offensively?
The only stat that matters at all in football is score. If their D gives up more scores than anyone else they are indeed last. You say you don't want to nit pick and yet that was the purpose of your response.

I get that NO has one of the tougher offenses to play while Seattle's offense is struggling. Most look at those match ups and leave their opinions at that. You had a few saying NO should win this and I simply brought up the other side of the ball. We just watched Seattle's D confound a pretty decent team in their own house with goal line stands and a pass rush few teams can even slow down.

I think Seattle is prone to any upset right now, and for as long as Russell Wilson cant move....This is not a QB IMO that is in the top tier of QB's if he cant use his legs....

As evidence by the offense they are putting on display lately.

Oh ffs, Seattle hasn't struggled in all their games this season, they struggle against D-lines that are stout. They're scoring over 30 a game against not so good D's.

NW and Hank,

wanking over a potential Seattle loss.

Hey, hope you boys 'get home.'

Yeah I think the Saints win but just going to need to score 28+ points. I think they can do it

Not wanking.

I've had good success taking home dogs lately. I pick with members of what used to be called the Hockey Mafia elsewhere. And I'm cleaning up.....

NO is my long shot pick for the week. I've not picked Seattle wrong yet this year. Here's hoping my streak continues.....

Right, none of their problems on offense have anything to do with other injuries or failures of other players to execute. It's 100% just Wilson. Having their starting RB go down early in the year and leave us with two guys that were let go from teams within in the last year doesn't have any impact at all.

Honestly, do any of you actually watch football? Or do you just look at box scores and act like you have a grasp of what's going on around the league?

Any given Sunday.

NO gets some turnovers, anything is possible. There's likely going to be a new LT Sunday. But NO is going to hold Seattle to some absurdly low point total with that awful D? Meh.

Well, that's a given.....The posters in this thread alone can practice for 3 days together, and put up 30 on the Saints....Hank Kingsley volunteered to play Center
