Interesting. I like J Cole too. I also like Wale- I am hearing a lot of his music on my Pandora and have come to like most of it.

I like Wale and Kendrick too.

Hmmmm, would be interesting to see who else would get chopped.

Unfortunately, it won't happen.

There is currently not enough support for an amnesty clause among NBA owners as they continue negotiations for a new deal with the National Basketball Players Association, sources told ESPN.com.

There have been amnesty clauses in the last two CBAs, allowing teams to waive players and have their salaries removed from the salary cap. This move would potentially deal a blow to the Miami Heat as they look for a solution to Chris Bosh, who is owed $75 million over the next three years.

J.R. Smith endorses LeBron James pumping up Kyrie for MVP campaign
MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!:agree::10::thumb:

It’s been a busy day for the Cleveland Cavaliers on social media. Kyrie Irving and LeBron James teased a new championship pack for public consumption based on the shoes they wore during the NBA Finals victories. LeBron James teased Kevin Love about shoes he wore in high school that were, well, pretty ridiculous.

And then J.R. Smith endorsed a conspiracy theory about how the Cavs might get their star an MVP. Except it wasn’t the star you might think.

JR Smith

I like where you head is. I think Ky believes he the best pg already, he doesn't need gas but it always helps. https://twitter.com/theherd/status/789167656028868609 …

The chances of Kyrie Irving winning an MVP don’t seem particularly high. He’s somewhere in the top 25 players of the NBA, and it’s hard to make a case coming into the year of him cracking the top 8. He will play on one of the best teams, but LeBron James is the clearly superior player. If James clamors for Irving, and he puts together a true shooting rate around 61-62% (which would be well above his career averages), it would still require serious defensive improvement. It’s possible, but it’s hard to call it likely.

In the meantime, it’s good to see that Smith and Irving are on the same page. It’s much more likely that James finds himself in the MVP race, but the Cavs clearly believe in Kyrie. And after last June, who could blame them?

Can't get MVP when you're the 2nd best player on the team.

hahahahaaha he had such a way with words! I think he & Cube are the best at sending powerful messages through their raps.

If Pac & Biggie were still here we wouldn't be hearing anything about Jay-Z being one of the best rappers or any of these other wanna be thugs.
Pac gets major play in my ride- was just listening to him go off on NAS in "against all odds"

ULTIMATE diss track...no Vaseline...

Cube was always one o' my old favorites...

only certain programs are good year in year out for the passed decade +.......Florida, Auburn, USC, Texas, FSU, so many others- just couldnt sustain greatness.

The Buckeyes and Alabama seem to be the 2 programs that rarely ever lose a step.

 @ the Buckeyes rarely losing a step. Every program has down periods, tOSU and Alabama included.

Yeah, OSU had some bad years before Tressel and lucked into Meyer having "health" issues that prompted him to leave Florida.

And Bama was straight garbage during the Shula years. At some point those two are going to retire and there will be new powers in CFB. Happens all the time.

Being a Miami fan, I've learned to hold onto those elite years, because they could be gone in the blink of an eye.

Bags of cash?

Every big time college program throws cash at players. Anyone saying their school doesn't do it is full of shit.

Every single person in South Florida remembers Dwayne Bowe and Patrick Peterson's respective recruitments. Both of those guys were going to Miami. All of a sudden here comes LSU and boom, they're gone. There were people hopping on message boards who stated that they lived in the same neighborhood as Patrick Peterson and remember Randy Shannon (then Miami's coach) going on his in-home visit and how disgusted he look leaving the house.

Point being - cash gets thrown at these kids in the quickness. Every single recruit that goes to Bama seems to be riding out in a $30k+ ride and posing with wads of cash. Saying your school doesn't makes you naive as shit.

Agree. That's why I always find it funny when fans of big schools make those kinds of accusations.

i have been reading about that for a while now that negotiations are going really well.....both parties have agreed to keep the BRI split the same- which is usually the main sticking point--- the rest is just give and take. What they come up with max contracts should be interesting. If there is an amnesty provision in this agreement that should be interesting too--- there have been in the last 2- but with all the cap space i am 50/50 whether they will have an amnesty provision in this agreement.

well- yah- if you go back a long time- when was the last time tOSU or Alabama were not good for more than a period of one year? Its been a LONG LONG time. Everyone has blips here and there--- Ohio State and Alabama have easily been the 2 best programs in college football over the last 15 years.

I just read a big revision to the upcoming CBA is that restricted free agents are given much more leverage. They're not going to be subject to the moratorium, which means they can sign deals with teams on July 1st, instead of waiting until July 7th. Also there's only a 48 hour match period instead of 72 hours. That's huge in the grand scheme of things. If they can sign before any other free agents do, it's increases their market value. It also forces teams to make a decision right away if they want to keep their player or not. This is good for the players.

I thought the players would push for a higher split after losing in the last negotiations and then seeing the massive TV deal signed a few years later. With that reportedly agreed upon, the rest is basically give and take as you say.

I like the transition to a more minor league type D-League. Woj reported two-way contracts and 16th/17th roster spots. Teams wouldn't have to worry about their young prospects being poached anymore.
