Sure is. Eric Rowe had a good day. Pederson punted the game. And the wide nine still sucks. The Eagles wont be a favorite to win a game until December.

Rowe wasn't one of the guys you where whining about was he.
Punted the game? Really 4th and 30 and you think punting was a decision cost them the game? You reinforcing the notion that you know SFA.
That same defence dismantled Pittsburgh. Take an instance, declare a trend. Quintessential reaching.

How's hippie doing? I had the pleasure of watching his latest hot mess. gave up over 300 yds rushing. they lead the league again in 3 and outs. they lead the league in most defensive plays. All too familiar isn't it.
It must be getting pretty tough out there. No?

Are you actually supporting the decision to punt with less than two minutes left with two timeouts remaining?

DPD how is Chip doing?

Oh that's right, 1-5. Shady dropped 3 TDs on him.

Hope you enjoy your new team.

Classic deflect response when you can't defend the statement. Truth is that the Eagles were likely losi g either way but punting down by 7 with a small prayer of getting the ball back with 30 seconds left is poor game play. Which given what we say Pederson do in the playoffs againt ne last year was totally predictable.

No it was actually smart. You think it was a higher percentage play to go for it on fourth and 30? At least getting the ball back with 30 seconds and four plays gives you some sort of shot.

4 & 30 you punt the ball and hope for a turnover. If not, then you the D will give you some time to try and tie. I can justify it. I can also create reasons why you go for it. The only time it seems to be a good decision is if it works.

As a coaching staff I hope they are working on cleaning up the penalties than worrying if punting on 4 & 30 was a good call. :D

First of all 30 seconds is unlikely there. More likely is a they punt with about 25 seconds andnyou get it back at about your 40 with say about 20 seconds left and no timeouts. That leaves you with a choice of two hail marys or one sideline pass then a hail mary. At least with 130 seconds left you can take ypur shot with a wide playlist that uses the whole field.

Secondly, if you miss your defense still can get you the three and out. Assuming the punt goes in the end zone you still have your 20 seconds...its just from the 20 rather than the 40.

Granted its a loser either way but going for it is clearly the superior option. Always go firing.

4th and 30 IS a Hail Mary. Your logic doesn't add up.

Its tbe difference between needing a 30 yard play versus a 60 yard play....realistically from a less than one percent chance to one of between 3 and 5 percent.

That you think the decision to punt was what cost them the game is merely another example of how little you actually know.

I am well aware the game was 95 percent lost by the time that punt came around. The discussion of how they got there though is somewhat subjective. As far as the punt goes its much less subjective and directly the responsibility of the head coach. Because of this i have commented because it it totally objective and fair to criticise it irrespective of what happened previously.

You're clearly a confused individual. You claimed the decision to punt lost the game. No amount of back-pedaling is going to change that. :rolleyes2:
Anyone who thinks the decision to punt is what cost the game should turn in their man card asap and refrain from insisting on their right to evidence they have a belly button too.

This does make sense. You're looking for anything that you can hang on Pederson to further justify your own obsession with Chip Kelly. I get it...

Seriously.....I have never met an Eagles and 49ers fan.

The strange things you see on a message board......

If you just want to look at the end of the game that is fine. I would have punted too. After watching the Eagles line all game what would make me think that Wentz would have time to let a 30 yard play develop. I may get a muffed punt or they could fumble. The odds are all about the same so it really doesn't matter.

We need to clean up the penalties. That is why we are losing. Good news is we could easily beat the niners. :D

Except the Eagles would have gotten the ball back with 45 seconds or so - the game-clinching 3rd down by the Skins was run was with 1:27 on the playclock (per NFL.com).

Punting the ball there was the smart thing to do, based on the preceding plays. There was no way the Eagles would have converted that 4th down. 4th and 26 only happens once (and with a better O-line, and better supporting cast for your QB. O yeah, Eagles ST is quite good - an infield return might have been possible, or a shank by the punter as well if he opted for the sideline.

O yeah, not getting the 4th down would pretty much have placed the Skins in FG range already.

Just reviewed the log and you are correect. The skins would have been forced to.punt with 40 to 45 seconds left giving the Eagles possession with as much as 35 to 40 seconds.

A couple of other notes from the log...
- it was 4th and 24....not 4th and 30....much more convert able.
- The Eagles used a timeout tbere on 4th down...which if they had hurried up and punted would have given them another timeout on defense and given them potentially over a .minute remilaining at the end.

It was a total team failure there at the end. The o line didnt protect. The rookie took the sack. The coach botched the decision making and tbe defense didnt hold.

The execution problems will always happen at times but i expect at this level you should rarely see tactical decision making errors.

At that distance 6 yards would not have made a difference. The offensive line still needed to allow the play to develop.

The timeout was dumb. Not sure what Pederson was thinking.

DPDumbass was no where to be found the first 4 weeks of the season. Then he shows his baboon ass when we loose a game. What tool.

The team you left us for has 1 fucking win and will hard pressed for another. Your judgement shows you're not smart enough to talk football with.
