I'll slap you with my member
College football through week 4 now.
Was tempted to boycott my own yearly prospect thread since I have no idea what picks we even have next year... But I do recall possibly getting picks for losing Jenkins and McCleod. So Fisher/Rams are 2-1 and we all know what happens next. But this may be the first time in the history of making this thread, that it's come while we are over .500!
Last years draft seemed to be a bit weak on the offensive side of the ball. QBs were a big ?? some good RBs and the WRs/TEs are still a big ??? Oline seemed to be ok. Defense was filled with pretty good players.
2017 will be the year of the RB. You very well could see 2 RBs drafted in the top 12.
QBs.. DeShaun Watson, Clemson; Chad Kelly, Ole Miss; Brad Kaaya, Miami (jr); Seth Russell, Baylor; Wes Lunt, Illinois. Nothing really special here besides Watson and he is special. Lamar Jackson sweepstakes begin in 2018.
RBs.. Leonard Fournete, LSU and Dalvin Cook, FSU are cream of the crop RBs. But right behind them are Christian McCaffrey, Standford; Royce Freeman, Oregon; Jalen Hurd, Tennessee; Wayne Gallman, Clemson; and Nick Chubb, Georgia. Can you say loaded class? Elijah Hood, UNC & Marlon Mack, USF are no slouches either.
WRs.. JuJu, USC; Mike Williams, Clemson; Malachi Dupre, LSU headline this class. Some serious talent at the top and then it gets kinda boring. We will see who shoots up the list.
TEs.. At this point Jake Butt, Michigan; Bucky Hodges, Va Tech; OJ Howard, BAMA are getting the hype. Evan Engram, Ole Miss is a hybrid WR/TE with some game. WHo knows who will emerge out of this group.
O-line.. Pat Elfein, Center Ohio St sticks out. 2-3 OTs probably will go in 1st round and 1 OG as well. Pretty early, but we will see how this one progresses.
It will be interesting to see what picks we have and how the Rams wheel and deal them.
Defense coming later.
