Long way to the combine, but JuJu Smith-Schuster, USC WR seems to be a guy that could be there unless he tears the combine up.

He was a top 10 pick when the season began and had a good year. Sometimes these guys drop for no apparent reason.

He seems a lot like Brandon Marshall to me, which would be a great replacement for Britt and/or Quick. Another guy I like that could be available a little later is Chris Godwin of Penn State, who reminds me a bit of Anquan Boldin.

Funny how Louisville finishes so poorly and Quick's stock dropped like a rock.

Even when they were rolling, his production was more about the QB than his own ability.

Another guy I'll advocate for on WKU is OT Forrest Lamp. He seems to be rising up many peoples draft boards and could possibly be available with our 2nd round pick. Here's a fun video from him at the Boca Raton Bowl against Memphis a month ago.

Think about this.. If the Rams don't trade for Goff, they probably win 5 maybe 6 game this year? They have/had more picks in the 2016/2017 drafts to beef up the Oline and defense.

And we are right in position to draft Deshaun Watson. :L

For some reason the QB from UNC and ND are going ahead of Watson for now in mock drafts. Do I think Watson is Mariota? Not as fast. Can he make plays? Yeah Is he similar to Dak? Yes but probably has a few more turnovers.

Yeah, we win 5 or 6 games and Fisher sticks around for awhile.

So now we got rid of Fisher and now Goff has a chance now that he is going to be coached up.

I don't think so. Fisher needed to show improvement this year and now it looks like he was only kept on from last year to get the team moved. Offense has been a big issue since day 1.

As far as Watson, I don't want him. For this simple reason.

"As a passer, he needs to do a better job of reading coverage post snap. This offense does a beautiful job of setting up a defense and then cashing in with big plays. However, there are times when Watson will predetermine his target and throw the ball without seeing the field. His interception vs. Alabama is an excellent example. His target won the one-on-one matchup, but Watson failed to see the over-the-top defender, resulting in an easy interception."

He threw 1 INT in the 2016 championship game and Zero INTs in the 2017 Natty. Also had 825 yards passing and 7 TDs to put up 80 points in 2 games against the MOST NFL type defense in the land of college football.

Watson also had 106 yards on the ground in those 2 games with 1 TD.

So 8 TDs against the best D over 2 years and you are looking at some bum sports writer saying he had 1 pick because he locked on to a WR on 1 throw? 2 years ago? What a hack that guy is.

You'd rather have Goff or Watson and all those picks? And I'm not sure he's going to drop, but if he does I'd take him and those picks over Goff. Not even close.

The guy found a way to score alot of points on a great defense. Twice. On the biggest stage.

I'm not really to give up on Goff, I would like to see what does this year with good coaching. If he still sucks, then we need to move on.

Deshaun Watson did pretty good against one of the best college defenses of all time this year.

I don't know of any player that had more than 3-4 TDs on the BAMA D the past 2 years.

I don't really get the media's downplaying of Watson either. These other guys they are vaulting past him in mock drafts have little top shelf experience and success at that level. Watson is the only one I would consider in the first.

That said, I'm very hopeful that McVay and staff having a full offseason with Goff as the undisputed starter reaps benefits. Goff should be decidedly better next season.

  • Scouts continue to believe the 2017 crop of quarterbacks is one of the worst in recent memory, as one personnel director tells Matt Miller of Bleacher Report that the scribe has “way too many” quarterbacks (three) in his top-30 overall players. Similarly, an AFC executive tells Bucky Brooks of NFL.com that he’s “scared to death” by this year’s signal-callers. “They have talent and upside, but there aren’t any sure things in this [draft] class,” said the VP of player personnel.

We sure as hell, don't need another QB. Unless the new coaching staff changes how the Rams evaluate talent, we are going to screw-up another QB selection especially this year.

I'm almost thinking drafting a defensive back or center would be the smartest way to use our second rounder (maybe depending on our comp picks use the 3rd on a center)

Yeah we already have limited pick, spending one on a QB seems like a complete waste...

I don't think anyone is advocating a QB for the Rams draft this year, just speaking in general terms about the draft altogether.

That 2nd round pick should be BPA among DB, OL, LB, and WR IMO. Of course, depends on free agency to lift some needs to truly be BPA.
