This is whats wrong with him:

Like I said, screw Robert Horry.

Meh, you should hate the refs more for rigging the series. Horry just did his job and is notorious for making clutch jumpers. You must really hate Ray Allen for what he did to the Kings in 2005. He slaughtered them it almost looked unfair for the entire game and not just one shot.

I do.

Why would I? The Sonics weren't an in state rival. And they only beat us once. As opposed to back-to-back-to-back in 2000, '01, '02. They also don't exist anymore.

So what is everyone's ranking of the young QBs to start the season?
For me 'young' is first 3 years because that when people start throwing around the word 'bust' so I'm going 2013, 2014, 2015 draft. I don't think the 2016 draft should be judged at all at this juncture so...

Starter
Jameis Winston
Blake Bortles
Derek Carr

Fringe starter
Marcus Mariota
Teddy Bridgewater
Mike Glennon

Backup
EJ Manuel
Geno Smith
Zach Mettenberger

If we are putting older guys in Luck is a Starter ahead of Winston, Wilson is a Franchise QB and Osweiler as a Fringe Starter behind Bridgewater.

Yeah I agree that guys like Wilson and Luck have been around long enough to no longer be among the young QB's of the league. Yes they are still "young" compared to many of the starting QB's in the league but they are definitely established starters at this point.

I like your starter list. I think I would be ok moving Mariota up onto that list already. Injuries hurt him a bit his rookie year but he has shown me enough to qualify him as a starter quality player.

Sometimes I hate the lack of an edit button on these boards but I get why they are there. Mariota you are probably right on and I think I was being too harsh with his circumstances but he should be a 'starter'.

RG3 is weird for me. In theory, he is a franchise QB but that injury history is awful and he is probably a locker room cancer. He is probably in his own category of 'flip a coin' which probably does mean that we should be lower but I could easily see him pulling a Kurt Warner and being halfway decent on a 2nd team after being totally written off.

I'll stick with my list going into the season even gambling on RG3 being alright and Bortles maybe being a product of his division and his WRs.

What happened to the RGIII and Colon Crapernut nut huggers? It used to be amusing when those people actually thought they belonged in the same sentence as RW. It was almost as bad as people believing Tony Homo or Cutler was better than Rodgers. RW is now a top 5 QB and could become a top 3 QB this year.

Great post. The best part is a Green Bay fan dropping the name Tony Homo, when it's Rodgers who had a boyfriend.
Do you not think before you post?

I think he's #3 right now based on how good he's been and how he's steadily improved over the first 4 years, but I openly admit my bias and understand an argument for Ruthlessbanger ahead of RW. What doesn't make sense at all though is when someone puts him behind Newton, Rivers, or even Luck at this point.

Rivers and Luck I agree but Newton was just the MVP of the league so I'm not sure why you think it doesn't make sense for people to put him ahead of Wilson.

Because it was 1 year, and his passing numbers weren't as good as Wilson's. His team was better. Doesn't mean he was.

Mariota and Winston could possibly find themselves in the top 5 in this category at the end of the season... I wouldn't be surprised...

I'm not disagreeing that he should be above Newton. I'm saying I don't get why you would think it weird that others might put him ahead of Wilson considering he did just win the MVP award. And not sure I would say his team was all that much better. I mean the Seahawks were a top-4 team in the NFL last year.

No worries, fair enough. I wouldn't consider someone a "moron" or anything for thinking Cam is better. First guess would be a Carolina fan, then after that just chalk it up to the things you mention.

People are also a slave to the moment. What people remember is Cam and that Panthers team just rolling over people until the Super Bowl. People forget sometimes that consistency needs to be a part of the equation. Right now I would much rather have Wilson as I just think he is a smarter QB that I can trust more. I also think his maturity is huge compared to that of Cam. We have seen too many times that when things are not going well for Cam he goes into a shell. I never see that with Wilson.

That would be a pretty huge leap for a 2nd year player.
