I hope not. We just built something up great with this group so hopefully this new owner makes a few improvements and the rest is business as usual. This might be the time to bring up with the new owner the idea of allowing longer time to correct your post than just the few minutes we have right now.

Yes please agreed

Is SportsHoopla pulling a KFFL ? If so are we looking for new digs ?

What is KFFL and why would you think you need to look for new digs? I'm not planing to change anything to the site. Why would I, its perfect the way it is.

I'll see what the timer is set at. It doesn't have to be set at a few minutes but I will ask HammerDown why it was set so low before I change anything.

As long as the new owner (poster) understands that the Broncos board is the most active, most diverse, most important and has the most intelligent posters on, then I'm okay with the sale. Super Bowl 50 means that we're the champions of all SportsHoopla fans as well!

Go Broncos!

Ha ha! Soon, the Cards board will be the most active/important/diverse board on here. ;)

The Cardinals are the 2nd best NFL team to root for. :)

My first favorite team since I naturally selected them as a young toddler who was a STLCards baseballl fan, so I still claim them as my NFC team.

Hey Shaggy thanks for stopping by our board! Well really your board now. I'm glad you like the site as it is. Understand all of us that I know of on this Bronco Board have come from another board that shut down or completely changed things to the point that it was unusable forcing us to find a new home. Thankfully all those sites shutting down helped form our group here just obviously seeing that there is change at the top and the history of seeing that end poorly has some a little on edge. From all that I have read that you have posted though you seem like a great guy and one that wants this site to continue to do well. Stop by any time as we love to talk to fans of other teams. And I do think you will find our group pretty receptive to the idea of the Cardinals. Larry Fitzgerald is honestly my favorite player in the NFL right now. I played WR and just love to see how he goes about his business. Also really respect that I think most summers he hosts young receivers in the NFL to help them better their skills. Don't see that much in today's NFL of that mentor relationship.

Martellius Bennett with some harsh words today about Jay Cutler. He said "Worst QB in the NFL. I'd be open and he'd throw into double coverage." Those Bennett boys definitely don't hold back with what is on their minds.

Seems like every Bear WR who leaves cept Earl Bennett has bad things to say about Jay Cutler...

Can't win when your teammates hate you.

Kind of an odd story surrounding an odd player but Trent Richardson the guy RB just cut once again by the Ravens said that over the past year his friends and family have been spending his money pretty much behind his back to the tune of over $1.6 million. Said he recently looked at his bank account and couldn't believe how much was missing.

Now thankfully he hasn't been a complete idiot with his money and still has a good chunk of his guaranteed money for being the 3rd overall pick a few years ago. Still seems like this happens a lot to these young guys of they are too nice and either just hand out money or just have people come and take it from them.

I can't quite remember the story but Tyron Smith had to take his family to court because they were all trying to get his money. If I remember right he talked about how his family really didn't want anything to do with him until they started hearing that he was doing so well in college that he might get drafted and paid a ton of money. So then they started showing up and talking about the jewelry and cars they wanted him to buy them.

He pretty much told his family or at least his mother and step-father that he would buy them a range rover and then pay off their debts to get them debt free. So he gave them the money but then they didn't use it for that purpose. Then they started calling for plane tickets for them and some of their friends to come to the games and for him to pay for hotel rooms for all of them. Over a year period his mom and step-dad spent something like $1 million.

I think the craziest was when he talked about how he texted his parents after getting promoted from Right Tackle to Left Tackle their first thought was how much more money this meant for him and them.

That's sad for Richardson and also a bit irresponsible. He is to blame himself a little bit too for allowing them access to spend his money. Pretty sad I know you are suppose to be able to trust your friends but when it comes to money I don't even trust my own dog in this world.

I hope he can eventually play another year and just make some money so that he has something to look back on. He's close to done, but I think he will get one more shot.

On a little better note the United States is the first country to have won 1000 gold medals in the Summer Olympics!
