The Big 12 routinely has overinflated offenses due to the complete lack of defense in the conference. When these "explosive" offenses go up against tougher defenses OOC, they routinely perform nowhere near the level they perform in conference. There's also a reason that every single Big 12 QB that goes to the NFL flops horribly. You can't go from playing high school defenses to NFL defenses and expect to be successful.

Huh??? Baylor shredded MSU's defense with ease the last time they played, TCU shredded the SEC's best scoring defense with ease in Ole Miss 2 years ago, OU's offense shredded Bama's defense a few years ago. tOSU has never even produced a quality NFL QB, so who cares about that. It's no secret B1G defenses tend to get crapped on when they step out of their conference.

Big had half of their teams ranked 90th or worse in total offense and scoring offense last year. I think the year before it was worse. Take a bow, tOSU is about the only team in the B1G that has a legit pulse on offense.
And the Big 12 had half it's team finish ranked 90th or worse in scoring defense, while the B1G had half their teams finish in the top 19 in scoring defense.

Michigan's defense did a pretty good job against Florida (SEC) in the Citrus Bowl in January.

Except floridas offense was an absolute joke last year. Not quite mizzou bad, but bad enough I don't think I'd hang my hat on that nail.

Wasn't Florida's offense good enough to win the SEC East?

LOL wrong. Baylor didn't "shred them with ease", they put up 41 points, well below their season's average. TCU was good that year, no doubt. They also have struggled mightily for two straight years with an absolutely horrible Kansas team.

There are also plenty of examples of these prolific Big 12 offenses getting shut down OOC.

Dude, I'm sorry, but considering what Sparty's defense had put up that year numbers wise, they got shredded.

Relatively speaking, yeah I don't disagree. There were 2 teams that scored more than that on MSU. That being said, Baylor also only scored fewer than that 3 times that season, so both teams' strengths were put to the test.

They did... but Florida had no offense so there is that.. regardless still ended up 8th nationally in D.. we have always had a decent D finding an O is the issue...

Baylor put up 7.88 yards per play on MSU. That was higher than any Big 12 team gave up to Baylor. That was the 3rd highest Mark on the year for Baylor (Northwestern St and Buffalo were 1 and 2)

I was laughing @ your comment, not @ your Gators. And I had no idea they returned that much on the defensive side of the ball.
What's funny about my comment if the Gators were not on that list it's full of shit.. we only lose a couple of guys on D which shouldn't hurt it.. if at all.

Oh cool, so we're playing the "let's cherry pick obscure stats" game.
