Miami Heat ... B+. Wish we could have had better picks, and got more talented players than Jack Shit. But I promise you Jack Shit will not be a bust. Who wants to have an avatar bet I can guess his exact stats game for game the entire season?

Can't really grade it high after all the hype. They did get a first rounder for some seconds. Brown is fine and Bentil is solid. Now the question is whether the French man is the man beast advertised Draft and stashed. I would say for now c plus b minus for the green. I really wanted that Buck trade to come together

Phoenix Suns- A+

4) Dragan Bender-PF
8) Marquese Chriss-PF
34) Tyler Ulis- PG

We have zero PF's on our current roster and they were split between Bender and Chriss for weeks now, somehow landed both. The 28th pick was unnecessary with the three others we owned this year and all our future picks, Bogdanovic was expendable with Booker's emergence, so moving up 5 spots without giving up much was huge and came cheap.

I like Ulis's game too, he could make a solid backup PG… kid can flat out play. Him and Booker were teammates at Kentucky and are best friends too, so pretty cool they get reunited.

Chriss could also see some time at the 3, IMO. He looks like he has an emerging perimeter game. He reminds me a bit of Hakim Warrick. That's not a knock on him, I think Warrick was ahead of his time. In today's NBA he'd be a really good 3/4 Hybrid.

I still can't believe Maker went that high...

Well, it makes more sense now.

We clown the Cavs about the Klutch shadow that looms over that organization. But, it got them a Championship. So, it was worth it.

Is this the new way things will be done, or was it always this way behind the scenes?

Excel, headed by Jeff Schwartz, has become the unofficial representation of the Bucks. Just peruse the Bucks’ roster and you’ll see it’s littered with Excel clients: Kris Middleton, Michael Carter-Williams, Jerryd Bayless, Rashad Vaughn, Tyler Ennis and now Maker. But Excel’s clientele with the Bucks is much more extensive. Marc Lasry, one of the Bucks’ tri-majority owners, is a buddy of Schwartz’s. And, perhaps most importantly, so is Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, whom Schwartz started representing when Kidd was being paid to play the game. Schwartz’s influence on the Bucks and their decision-making simply can’t be understated. Does anyone really believe some of those previously mentioned players would be on the Bucks if they weren’t part of the Schwartz family?

I don't see any reason why Corey Maggette in today's NBA couldn't be James Harden lite. With his size too you could have played him as a small 4. He would get 10-12 Freethrows a game easy (in addition to the ton he already took when he played).

Agree.

He was one of my favorite young Clippers.

I think Brandon Ingram offers the Lakers quite a lot of options on offense going forward. He's definitely an NBA ready player. Personally, I'd like for him to probably add about 10 more lbs. of muscle. It was a no brainer picking him at the 2nd spot, but the Lakers made out like bandits.
Yeah I agree at 190 lbs, Ingram should add at least 20/30 lbs of muscle.

B. I wanted AJ Hammons instead but Mccaw is a really nice pick. he's gonna be a good player, Athletic can shoot, and is a hard nosed defender. capable passer too

Clippers B:

I love Brice Johnson. Nice pick and pop backup for Blake. He's money out to 18 feet and can hit the boards. After 4 years in College, he's ready to play now. My only concern is he needs to eat all of Diamond Stones Cheeseburgers.

Diamond Stone scares me. He has a nice back to the basket game and great NBA size. But, he is one Fat Burgers binge away from going Oliver Miller. Doc did wonders working with DeAndre. This kid is already better than him offensively,. But, more importantly, shoots 76% from the line and could be a solid backup if he puts in the work.

The fake Tony Parker pick is absolutely baffling considering Jackson, Payton were still on the board.

I would have given them a B+ had we drafted Mccaw or remotely addressed the gapping hole in our roster at SF.

Maybe if Pierce retires, we can chase Bazemore. Oh, that's right, we have no money. Jeff Green it is.

I like bryce johnson too

You don't have to. Maybe I was a little kind with the grade, but I don't think it was a D or F draft. The biggest problem was they didn't draft a PG, but like I said the roster isn't a finished project. The Kings will make moves to get a PG and move a center. Trading Marco and getting a younger/cheaper SG in return was really good, and I liked getting 3 1st round players for Chriss even if I didn't totally agree with Papa Johns at 13.

I like Skal the most. Malachi Richardson is a decent shooter but I felt that Furkan Korkmaz was the better choice and a better shooter. Big George is a huge question mark.

I didnt like selecting two big men with Koufos, Boogie and WCS on the roster. McLemore has been a bust, and DC will most likely be suspended or cut. I hate the idea of Rondo coming back... but what do I know.. im just a suffering fan.

what was the Buck trade? Middleton or Parker?

What are you gonna do with 5 rookies on a roster that already has too much depth?

We lost Acy, so drafting one or two bigs does make sense. They could still trade KK, but I would also understand keeping 5 big men so the young rookies don't have to play too much. Richardson wasn't my first choice either, but he's still a younger replacement at SG and I like moving on from Marco. The Kings decided that taking talented young bigs and getting a PG through trade or FA would be better than drafting a Wade Baldwin or Demetrius Jackson, will that end up being the right move? Too early to tell. I don't blame you for being cautious, the Kings drafting, trading, and FA choices have SUCKED for the majority of the last 5 years. Vlade made a good pick with WCS, but it's gonna take a lot more than that for us Kings fans to believe he's turning the team around.

I just can't give the Kings a B- .. just can't

I'll give it a C+/B-

Turning the 8th pick into 3 first rounders was pretty dope. Getting a first round pick for Belinelli was incredible. Skal is a great pick at 28, he won't see much time this year which is fine but you have to take that potential at that juncture. Malachi Richardson is basically a Ben McLemore replacement as a backup 2, with room to grow. I really like his length for a SG, and he is good off the dribble and slashing already, something Ben still can't grasp. Papa John was apparently going to the Celtics at 16 if he was there, so the Kings HAD to take him, if you are one to believe that. Kosta Koufos is gone (trade), and Acy is actually gone (free agent), so there is a spot open for a backup big. Filling it with a massive dude who has a lot of talent is a good move. And he's only 18. Isaiah Cousins as the 59th pick, if he provides anything, it's gravy. Bogdan Bogdanovic is one of the higher ranked European players right now, coming over next year will be a nice bonus.

The Kings got a lot younger with this draft, and they also have a backup plan now if Boogie bolts in 2 years, or they have trade assets if he sticks around and these guys improve.

This is the first move of the offseason. I think KK and Ben are gone. Courtney Lee and Ryan Anderson are the big targets in free agency. Still don't know where they are going to go with PG, which is the reason I dock their draft grade down. Drafting Baldwin/Beasley/Jackson and adding a veteran PG like Lin or Williams would have made a lot of sense. As it is, I can only pray it's not Rondo.

coulda been worse. coulda been Ainge's picks...

but yeah, Sactown really needed a PG in there somewhere...

ah well, maybe FA...?

Been looking around and not a single credible source gives them a rating higher than D. They were so awful even Boogie decided to comment:
