Doesn't deserve to get in and wont get in. Great career, but not HOF worthy.

Already been thru the ups and downs since 1976. Old hat to 9er fans. You might want to get used to it.

I've been a Seahawk fan since they came into existence. Not a lot of ups till recently. But yeah, the rhetoric that we're all bandwagon johnny come lately's kinda' pushes my buttons.

Ricky is bitter cause some people have Brady as being the Goat instead of Montana

Bzzzz...wrong. The quote in question doesn't even mention Montana...does it? I find it appropriate because that's the first thing Pats fans say against Manning, yet the reality is that they are both fairly equal when it comes to their own personal playoff performances, plus the fact that Manning now has a winning record H/H versus Brady.

If Seattle would have just given him the ball they would have all had one more Super Bowl ring, and that's the fact Jack.

No it's not. Marshawn, despite the big youtube'd runs posted above, had been pedestrian as hell in 3rd and 4th and short for over 2 seasons.

MAY he have got in? Sure. 'Fact?' Not unless you're redefining what the word means.

You plagiarizing my quote about PM not being the best on his own team? Which one doesn't belong in convo
QB A 22-9 6 SB's 4 Lombardi 's QB B 16-7 4 SB's 4 Lombardi's QB C(hoker) 14-13 4 SB 2 LOmbardi's 9 one and dones and O TD's last SB and QB C would be 12-14 if not for Defense causing a fumble vs Pitt this year

Which one doesn't belong?

Ummm, let me see...

The one who's a liar, a cheater and I fear may be bi? :noidea:

I get it , I get it , you wouldn't bet your nutsack but if I would have been a Seattle fan I would have been livid. And the fact is, I firmly believe he would have scored. No it wasn't written on Charleton Heston's ten commandment stone, I get that. :pound:

I think you can make case for Marshawn that goes beyond stats. People get too hung up on yards and TD's, but that doesn't tell the whole story. If all you want is the players with the best stats then there's no longer any need to have voters at the HOF.

This. It's the hall of fame, not the hall of statistics.

He's not a HOFer. But to those that are dismissive of the idea solely based on stats, you should be outraged that TO was not a first ballot HOFer with the numbers that guy retired with.

oh please, you know better than that. Beast Mode was solid in short yardage.

Sorry misunderstood the question. Thought you were asking if he made the score and won another ring, would he be a HOFer?

I don't think so... the stats don't necessarily line up and while Marshawn has the amazing game footage (namely the HOLD MAH DIIIIICK!!!) I just don't see it. Shaun Alexander rushed for more yards and more TDs (granted he had a beast line) and isn't sniffing the HOF.

I think if Lynch got the 2nd Super Bowl win and was able to play last season and maybe this season healthy he'd be a lock.

But who knows... I feel the requirement for runningback HOF #s may be reduced. Teams are using dual runningbacks more and more (especially with 3rd down) for added receiving/blocking ability and runningbacks are IMO almost FORCED to retire once they hit 30+ except for rare circumstances. AP would be an exception but let's see how he does now that he's 31.

The one argument I could see for Lynch is the playoffs. Yes his regular season yardage falls short a bit, but playoffs take a toll on your body. Lynch had about 100 more carries than AP in the playoffs and was FAR more productive than AP against some VERY stout defenses.

Still saying no. Lynch was an amazing runningback and workhorse. Overshadowed by Seattle's ridiculous 2013 defense. That defense is compared with the 01' Ravens, 85 Bears, Steel Curtain, etc. Offense could've just punted on every 1st down outside of field goal range and let the defense clean it up with turnovers, etc.

And I watched all those games for those 2 seasons, and watched him get stuffed in the backfield or for no gain over and over and over again.

AND, Belichek sent out the jumbo run pkg, to do what? Oh yeah, prevent Marshawn from beating them from there.

So, uh, laugh away?

in 2014 Lynch rushed for 13 regular season TDs and averaged 4.7 yards per carry, in the post season he had two Tds in 3 games and averaged 5.0 yards per carry. He lost two fumbles all year in 343 attempts. The previous game vs. Green Bay he ran for 157 yds. In the Super Bowl he ran for 102 yards.

Wrong answer Bradys' no# are quite better td/ints and 4th Q comebacks Peyton only has 1 he crumbles like a cheap suit under pressure . I have no problem with Brady and don't bring up Brady's 11-6 record vs him. He is a first round HOFer but not in same breath as Montana or Brady because of being a #1 or #2 seed and having 9 one and done's at home. Almost happened again this last season, but fortunately Bronco's D cause a fumble or game looked bleak Pitt with lead, looking to add more and working on clock

Yep, well aware of the overall numbers. Also aware that the team struggled mightily in short yardage, much of that struggle maybe lying at the feet of our O-line.

At any rate, despite the perception otherwise, we'd been passing to set up the run for some time. Lynch was lights out against fronts designed to stop Wilson from getting to the edge, or for pass.

Brock Osweiler humiliated Tom *Brady, then when it counted, big brother came in and finished his season for him. *Brady was atrocious both times. Even with pedestrian play from QB, the Pats win both games easily, Sonny. Sorry.
