Surprised, curious what "health" concerns he had. Rolled I get, sort of, not sure I understand a healthy Slauson.

Ya I don't get it either. I'm trying to like Pace and not be the Debbie downer of the board.

I am going to have to see some of this play out before I can pass judgement.

With Slauson & Rolle gone... what does this do for our healthy cap situation? I know we didn't spend too much in FA and Hoyer was only $2M... Should be looking at some other vet FA that will be cut this spring. Hmmm interesting.

message on NFL networks ticker during the draft was Pace working hard to sign Alshon to multi year deal.
I would rather have Alshon prove he can stay healthy, but it might be pointing at Alshon accepting a deal that may include a signing bonus that uses some of this cap room. Otherwise, I hope it leaves flexibility to sign one of the many players that will be getting cut after the draft, or picking up those last cuts at the end of the preseason.

Jesus... Relax, for christ sake.

You have no idea how this is going to turn out on either end.

Pace has done NOTHING but good things for this team so far. NOTHING. He was hired, and this team was in the lowest state you could possibly get... and the situation has done NOTHING but get better since he was hired.

Just because he got rid your favorite wife beating, women beating, phony, loser, cancer... etc... in Marshall. You're still in a hissy fit about this.

Just sit down, and watch what happens. For fuck's sake.

Nothing but good??? Cmon Rich your better then that. He has made at least 5 or 6 blunders. Raped the O side of the ball, has not addressed the QB situation, has not brought in any difference makers. I could go on and on. Pace is far from perfect. Sure he looks ok compared to the last 2 bums but I am far from sold on him.

Slauson and Rolle look like pretty standard and predictable cap moves to me.

Standard moves AFTER getting who you were targeting in the draft. Did not do many favors for either though, if they were cut before free agency started they both would have gotten a better chance to play somewhere else. There were workout bonuses in each contract that cost some coin by waiting as well. I mean, I get waiting on Rolle, but after signing two or three guards, including Larsen and Ramirez, they could have parted ways with Slausen alot earlier. I dont think the Whitehair pick had alot of impact.

Its the way we spin it to try to keep the place interesting waiting for camp. I mean if Pace really wanted to keep teams off of Whitehair, I guess signing two guards with 7 and 10 years experience, then signing a tackle so supposedly Long goes back to guard, while having who seemed like your most important veteran left on the line being a guard was all to keep teams off his scent for this second round goof on the entire league, then thats just an incredible way to get your guy trading down in the second round.

I guess my wish would have come true if they did take a CB in the first round and they waived Porter. Although, seems like nobody thought waiving vets would have been done after you got what you got.

Or they just signed guys to bring in as much competition as possible, while doing whatever they can to improve the line.

Slauson was good player for us, but he is also 30 years old.

I heard Fox make a good point this morning. "We are a 6-10 football team. We're trying to get better."

Everyone pissed about Slauson... sure good guy, vet...leader... fellow Cutler supporter... fantastic beard. But he was a player on 8-8, 5-11 & 6-10 teams. And is now 30+
Same with Marshall and Bennett.
They are going with a youth movement and adding speed.

People are pissed off about the team being bad. But then you are still pissed when they release players that played on that bad team?

I like that, lets see if it happens at the QB position.
