This is stupid! Why not just come out and say the pick? Are they not telling thinking that there is still some team dumb enough to trade up?(like we were) :pound:

Supposedly Philly already knows who they're selecting, so if that's true, then Snisher must have had some sort of contact with them. OR Cleveland, they're trading partner must have had some sort of contact with them. Anyhow, how else would they know who we are selecting? You know dam well that there is no team that is going to trade up now. We hold all of the cards, just announce the dam pick!

What's the benefit of announcing the pick? There's a day and a half left, you'll know soon enough.

Philly knows exactly who they are going to pick; whichever of the two the Rams don't pick. Snisher has no reason to share with anyone who they are picking, and any info leaked could be smoke or truth, to the point where you can't trust it anyway.

In the past teams have announced their pick prior to the draft. The #1 over all is obligated to do that. What's the secret?? :noidea: Nothings gonna change.

Why are they obligated to do that? The NFL (and the networks) want them to keep it quiet for ratings.

In the past they have not only announced the pick, but they have had the player signed under contract before the draft! ....That's a fact!

It is all a dog and pony show of which Snisher have bought into ever since the on-the-way-to-the-bathroom meeting at the owner's meetings. This FO is laughable to the point of madness.

Sometimes, not always. No rush to start negotiations now, given the slotted salary scale.

Now there is a rookie cap, if you were smart you'd negotiate before the draft. Expect secrecy about the first pick to be a permanent kind of thing.

Wentz has more upside. Bigger, Stronger, Will to win, can run, Goff to me has that apathetic look on his mug. He's sort of soft looking to me. He's smaller and can't run like Wentz. Look at Cam Newton, a big strong guy that can run. He went to the Super Bowl. But if it's Goff I pray he proves me wrong.

I agree Chili, I like Wentz better also but I think it is Goff. I hope he works out for all us fans more than Fisher and Snead.

Why would the Rams want Goff over Wentz? He's smaller and shorter, Can't run like Wentz, Doesn't have as strong as arm. Both won't be ready for day one so I say take the better athlete.

That's my opinion as well, but there are good points in favor of Goff as well.

The argument for Goff is that he has great footwork in the pocket and presence in a collapsing pocket, can make all the throws, is more accurate than Wentz, and has much more experience than Wentz. Wentz essentially has a year and a half of experience at the college level, some 1000 throws fewer than Goff. Wentz also has more limited QB experience at the high school level, playing LB his junior year due to a shoulder injury (a big reason why he wasn't more heavily recruited by bigger schools).

Better pocket presence, footwork, mechanics, makes all the throws, has a quicker release than Wentz, great work ethic and a great decision maker. I think it's an easy choice over Wentz.

I was listening to LA local radio and they had on Ernie Accorsi, the NY Giants former GM.

He was the dude who traded Philip Rivers, a 3rd in 2004 & a 1st and 5th in 2005 for Eli Manning. He felt that move put him in position to win a couple of Super Bowls.

Now Ernie said something interesting about the Wentz/Goff choice. He said the main reason for trading for Manning was to get the QB he thought could lead the team down the field in a big game and he saw Manning do exactly this, I think he cited the Cotton bowl.

To me he was basically saying Wentz should be the pick.

I'd rather have Hogan over Adams.
