They get one every so often. Just like the Yankees. But just like the Yankees, most years they massively underperform and embarrass themselves.

They have the most titles the last 25 years. Which is five. I hate Duke, like everybody else, but that's an absurd statement. It's hard to win an NCAA Championship. Doing it once every five years is pretty damn good. Not to mention all the other times he's come close.

They should beat Indiana. Duke beat the shit out of them earlier this season.

So will you be rooting for Carolina to advance tonight?:D

Never said he's an awful coach. In fact, I've called him a HOF coach.

He DID get outcoached this year. It happens. Get your panties out of a bunch. EVERYONE gets outcoached sooner or later.

He did pretty good with his talent this year(or lack there of). Ingram's a stud, Allen's a first round pick, but after that there isn't much there. Losing Jefferson for the season killed them too, especially defensively. I said yesterday I thought Oregon was going to win rather easily, so I wasn't surprised with the outcome. Oregon is just better, with a better collection of players who are match up nightmares.

You were saying this was Duke's worst year and worst coaching job yet he still got to the Sweet 16

And I've backed that statement repeatedly. I've given you the reasons WHY I feel that way.

That's fine. Everyone here is just making sure you know that you are very incorrect. Like SUPER wrong. Like, EMBARRASSINGLY on the wrong side of the argument.

I'm amazed at what he got out of that team. Now, I'm not amazed at them making the S16 because, well, UNC Wilmington and Yale.

But I thought this was one of K's best coaching jobs, and I hate admitting that. They really weren't that good, and he got a ton out of them after losing their (not best, but) most important player pretty much the entire season

it is hilarious how last year we would have said, "Naw, it's just Jefferson, Duke will be fine" Now this year, "damnit we NEED HIM!" And that is all the credit to him. Worked his ass off and is loss was certainly felt! So glad he got a medical red shirt!

now Allen please stay, as much of an arrogant punk you can be

You still never answered my question. Oregon pressed for 40 minutes yet only committed 17 fouls to Duke's 19 total. If Duke gets all the calls then why didn't they get them last night?

Dear God, does ANYONE but a Duke fan watch a Duke game and not come away thinking they get more questionable calls??? Screw those whiners...

Give me a fucking break. The Badgers haven't had a single McD All American in over a decade. They get even less than Duke out of their bench. They lost 5 of their top 7 scorers from last year, including the Player of the Year and 2 others that also moved on to the NBA. They have the most freshmen in college basketball (8) and no seniors. Their HoF coach quit on the team part way into the season. The Badgers were seeded lower and had to take down a #2 seed to even get to the Sweet Sixteen. And they could still rise further.

If Krzyzewski did "a great job" this year, is Greg Gard the second coming of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Just admit it - dude sucked this year. That team should have outperformed the Badgers, Notre Dame (another short bench that lost NBA talent), and a host of others. Pathetic. He's great, but he did a poor job this year.

"I didn't say that," Krzyzewski said after the game. "You can say whatever you want. Dillon Brooks is a hell of a player. I said, 'You're a terrific player.' And you can take whatever he said and then go with it, all right?"

Brooks said he'd engaged in trash talk with some of Duke's players throughout the game. In the first half, Brooks hit a 3-pointer in front of Duke's bench and said something that appeared to frustrate Krzyzewski.

"They were all trash-talking," Brooks said. "I wasn't really trying to say too much. But it's part of the game. Everybody trash-talks and tries to get you out of your game. But that just makes me go harder and fires me up."
