I'm going to challenge this team to end the month of February at 4-2 which would put us at 33-26 with a pretty decent schedule in March.

Most disappointing thing about tonight been the team defense. At least against the Clips the defense was there but we just had a poor shooting night which I can live with.

The turnovers and the fouls - especially those that were bad calls against us maximized these problems IMO. A lot of the turnovers and fouls we committed late were as a result of frustration.

Only positive is that Atlanta is in Chicago tomorrow. There's a really good chance we enter the AS break in 4th or at worse in 5th. I'll take it at this point

4-2 seems reasonable - with losses coming against the GSW and who else? As for " pretty decent schedule in March" This is the Miami Heat -- that doesn't really mean much.

See ya later gentlemen. There are warts on this coaching staff and if some of you just want to blow it off to lack of execution then go with it and make yourselves feel better. The team certainly executes in other quarters after they self adjust. Such is life. They are a decent team to watch and great to see Wade still playing consistently and at a high level. bosh and Dragic are fun.

I agree. The least they can do right now is get Whiteside starting. Amare brings nothing to the table in the 2nd half and is a reason for the struggles. Teams are also shooting a high % as of late in the 3rd against us. Whiteside changes both of those things. If Spo wants Hassan starting the 2nd/4th with the 2nd unit, all he has to do is take Hassan out a little earlier. Let's by the 6 min mark of the 1st/3rd. If he does that the problem is solved and Amare is no longer starting. Just killed 2 birds with 1 stone

29-24 at the break and maybe 4th or 5th seed going into the break.... After the way things went last season? After where we were at this point last season? I will take it and roll with it. But, again, some idiot will complain and cry about it to support his misguided nonsense

Self-adjust? The stupidity this idiot says. Seriously, if you want to make contributions to the world and make it a better place -- just hang yourself but make sure you have someone record it and make it go viral.

So gents were 29-24 at the break. I had stated before the season that I thought we would win between 48-52 games. Obviously 50+ wins is just about out of the picture but I think we should set a realistic goal for this team in the final 2 months of the season.

My minimum target for this team is to go at least 17-12 which would give us 46 wins and likely HCA in the first round. In a few minutes or so I'll go through the rest of the schedule and make my prediction on what I think our record will be in the final 29 games.

Some idiot pointed out the third quarter - as he always does - its the only way he can justify his stupidity. Yet we only lost the third quarter by 3 points 31-28 compared to the second quarter which we lost by 11 34-23 - The quarter I said was the turning point of this game. But again, some idiot wants to point to the third quarter and this so called self-adjusting crap -- maybe he is talking about self-adjusting himself as him touches himself while like at Spo gang bang his mom.

Too many turnovers from CB and he has had a lot of issues taking care of the ball of late - lots of situations where the ball has been taken away from him far too easily catching him by surprise. This is around the time he got sick/injured with the clots last season -- not saying this is the reason or an excuse -- but I am sure he still often reflects on and is on the back of his mind now that its getting close to the year mark of the situation.

Good move by the team to not give him a chance to say any of the stupid shit he says when he is frustrated. But I am certain he will talk his shit on social media to give the media shit to write about

I have us at 19-9 which is very possible and would put us at 48 wins. 17 wins should be a lock unless the injury bug hit us. Schedule really isn't too tough.

Looks reasonable. You have some win streaks there and a couple of 2-game losing streaks. Interesting you have us opening with a 3-game streak to start the second part of season - Considering the first two are against division foes - those games are crucial during this stretch run. Who we beat will be just as important as when we win during the final stretch of the season for seeding purposes.

We shall see. I am sure most of us in here except for one idiot -- has a great deal of faith in a good finish for our Heat led by our great head coach and his great staff

Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders.com joined the Big O Show on 560 WQAM to discuss the Miami Heat, the NBA, and specifically Hassan Whiteside and what the Heat will do with him in the offseason.

On Whiteside: “I think at the end of the day, Whiteside is important [in Miami], but it’s a strange dynamic. And I think it’s something other teams are going to bring up in Free Agency. We saw with DeAndre Jordan last year. Teams told him; ‘look, you’re not finishing games. You’re going to be more involved in offense here. You’re going to be the man.”

“From what I heard, Whiteside loves Miami and wants to stay.”

“If say a guy like Kevin Durant wants to come to Miami, they’re going to have to decide – do we want to keep Whiteside, or do we use our cap space on Durant [or someone else].”

“I doubt there is a scenario where they lose out on Whiteside and lose out on a big name player. I think it’s going to come down to a choice for [Pat] Riley.”

I saw this today. I think it's current. Not sure.

As far as tnight, we weren't winning, regardless.

My position hasn't changed. I want Whiteside here, but not for a max.
Hopefully a move like tonight is remembered this summer and his price drops into a range where it makes sense to keep him.

Right now its ADVANTAGE Heat with regards to leverage in contract talks with Hassan.

His attitude/approach has to change. And his effectiveness in games has to change if he wants things to even out in that upcoming contract talk. Doesn't matter when he gets his minutes - he has got to be more disciplined and effective in his time on the court.

As for the thoughts of Alex Kennedy, like that of many, its just one mans opinion... But a pretty solid one.

But in all fairness, lets be reasonable -- Hassan is only just over 100 plus games into his career -- success has come his way at a crazy rate -- its gotten to his head.... it happens. He just now has to figure out the best way to deal with success and deal with adversity. This is the biggest thing he has to work on more so than anything else. If he shows improvement in this area, there is no limit to his potential - and with that, the Heat will more than likely, -- almost without a doubt -- will have to reward him financially.

But its all up to him
