Anything by Nickelback, Creed or any of the other thousands of 90's post-grunge musical diarrhea.
Props to the OP for stating the obvious. I always though Springsteen was a joke. His songs are purposely written as "odes to americana" to be as mass marketed as possible. I've heard dumb critics to go as far as claim that he killed disco with his music and we should all bow down in thanks. Fucking wrong.
Couldnt agree more. Springsteen is awful and extremely overrated, he doesnt sing, he rambles.
a cacophony of caterwauling over shitty, spiraling jazz riffs:
Darken nailed it. Anything by those late 80's girly soft metal bands are the worst.
Kind of a catchy song but it ruined metal and made kids run to rap and grunge
What makes it particularly of note is that Born To Run is consistently hailed in several people's Top 10 lists of best rock songs of all time. Listen to it; it's horrid. Sounds like the lyrics are out of key, off tempo, the riffs are sloppy and spiraling. Super gross.
I actually like this song.
But it's really terrible.
I like the commercial that uses that melody to my Pepperona, for some reason that just cracks me up.
WTF?@SDPaddlefish wants to suck Scott Stapp's meat whistle while Fred Durst cheers him on.
1 . the free market chose avatar, the Star Wars prequels, and Titanic... Speaking of lame. That is the amazing thing ... you are allowed not to like any song or think any song is the worst. The free market will sort out the lame ones. Maybe you haven't heard the right version of Born to Run. Whatever, it's ok not to like it and I will go on thinking it's a really good song.
