How many rings would coach Spoelstra have if he'd never coached LeBron James?

How many coach of the year awards or all-star game appearances would coach Mike Brown have if he'd never coached LeBron James?

How many state titles would coach Dru Joyce have if he'd never coached LeBron?

LeBron... who has played almost exclusively for rookie coaches or near-rookie coaches... is way more of a coach-maker than a coach killer.

How many rings would Phil have if he didn't have Jordan, Kobe, Shaquille?
That list/game could go on forever.

read Windhorsts article

Paul Silas was fired when LeBron was 20 years old when Dan Gilbert came in- please dont try and put that one on him for an OWNERSHIP change when LeBron was 20

Mike Brown was fired when LeBron was not EVEN WITH THE TEAM-- Dan Gilbert TRIED to contact LeBron about his opinion- but of course we all know LeBron was already gone

Obviously Spoelstra like you said

And then Blatt- who was HIREd before LeBron was even with the team.

Please explain how any of that makes LeBron a "coach killer"....seriously, im interested.

He's not a coach killer, he's just a man who doesn't want to be coached, and then when the things that he's constructed end up falling apart, wants the negatives deflected in a different direction.

Oh, geez. We could play this game with any player.

How about this riddle: Name every coach other than Popovich, Spoelstra or Carlisle who's been with their team more than 4 seasons.

Or this one: Name me a Cavs coach other than Blatt who you want to defend as unfairly fired.

I never said Blatt was unfairly fired, I've just said that people who think James wasn't the main reason he was, are living in a land of fairy tales.

oh LeBron was TOTALLY MIA- he had not been in contact with Gilbert for a long time before Brown was fired.

I agree, but then why the shock, outrage and disapointment?

To be fair, same should be said about Riley and Arison.

it would be great short term - especially with Paul's leadership and defensive ability--- plus Paul is cantekerous enough and mentally strong enough to be an effective counter-weight to LeBron- hes not gonna let LeBron run over him we KNOW that.

I think it would help the Cavs short term, which is what they need with James.
I still don't think they best the Warriors, plus, then you have the dynamics of Paul not being the primary ball handler which is a big negative for his game.

Yeah, I get that. I agree.

But I'm not just going to not respond to something like Turnups post, which was clearly implying that all of LeBron's coaches get fired because of him. At best, its an unfunny attempt at humor. At face value it is definitely calling LeBron a coach killer.

When I look at LeBron's list of coaches.... I don't see a bunch of guys that LeBron didn't get along with as much as I see a bunch of guys that were in over their heads. Less so with Spoelstra - who I think is underrated as a coach, honestly - but even he was a little in over his head at the beginning and sort of grew along with everyone else.

Don't put words in my mouth.
I've stated that the only man IMO that ever coached James was Spoelstra.
The rest were just pawns or puppets.

James didn't kill them, he tired of them like a used toy.

This obsessive need that Cavs fans and Lebroniacs have to try and defend/refute every single criticism is starting to move from hilarious to creepy.

Lebron has had issues with every single coach he's ever had (at least in the NBA) and 2 were fired directly to appease him. That may not be a coach killer, but it sure as hell isn't a coach maker.

Additionally, I wonder how many rings Lebron would have without having gone to Miami? As for how many rings Spo would have without having had Lebron. How many would Lebron have without having been coached by Spo? Especially considering that Spo is the only coach who has actually been able to coach him.

i dont think its an "obessive need" as much as it is frusterating to see people that know better say stupid shit- and then have them hide behind posts like turnups above when we all are not nearly as stupid as he would have us believe by acting like he didnt mean that post as a negative one. Give me a break.

If people were more concerned with the truth, than just letting perception confirm what hteir little brains want to see, you wouldnt see that happen NEARLY as often.

You guys either completely missed the obvious point I was making or chose to intentionally dodge it.

I never said LeBron didn't benefit from his coaches. Of course it goes both ways.

I love how providing an opposite point of view is "creepy". I've made plenty of posts conceding LeBron s involvement, accountability and troubled relationships with coaches so cut the bullshit about me having to refute every criticism.

I'm not going to apologize for my opinion especially when it's grounded in far fewer assumptions and backwards logic than yours.

Welcome to the world of sports forums Trojan... sometimes people are going to disagree with you.

Today's riddle.
Name every NBA coach other than Spoelstra who wasn't fired while coaching LeBron.

Which of these words did I put in your mouth turnup?

This is either a passive aggressive joke or a clear implication that LeBron is a coach killer.

Also... Pat Riley just rained big time on the LeBron coach killer parade.

An unlikely source to do that, but he knows what it's like more than most to have unfair narratives follow you.

lol...."dont put words in my mouth" says turnup- how fucking disengenuine can you be? I swear the guy thinks people are total morons if hes trying to use some pathetic technical deniability when its abundantly clear how he meant that to be a negative post. At least own it instead of being this passive aggressive baby towards LeBron.

You have a terrible memory.
Its documented, and been told to you many times that I WANTED him to leave if him staying required annual opt outs.
I'll gladly support our current roster, and watch Riley rebuild and construct with players who are trying to figure it as group.
Him leaving has cost us ZERO championships and brought that same number to the Cavs.
By the time he's done fucking with Gilbert you guys will have been set back at least probably a decade from even smelling the playoffs once he leaves.

Or you're wrong and apparently butt sore if anyone uses James in a reference that doesn't meet the standards of licking his ball sack.

I never, ever said he ordered any coach to be fired, but you can bet your ass that he never said to any GM to not fire that coach when the subject was brought to him.
