Shitty special teams play and game planning to give Iowa field position all night long are two different things. I don't recall ever saying I was happy with our special teams. I simply questioned you if you thought that that was game planning.
That you take offense that I did not agree and chalked it up to a bad night I regret, but see no reason to apologize for my opinion. I will take into account in future discussions though how fragile yours is.

Someone posted an image on facebook of an open receiver on that 4th and 1 where we threw the jump ball, and then bitched about Armstrong "deciding before the snap who he's gonna throw to."

For the love, people. That playcall was dialed up on the sideline. The whole purpose was to try and take advantage of 1-on-1 coverage. Hopefully get a PI.

And let me just say this. If Tommy is still starting next year, even with the early enrollee we have in O'brien, then my beliefs are confirmed.

Because if Tommy is making these errors all on his lonesome, no staff will leave him out there with someone more equipped on the sideline. O'brien is more equipped.

So why does Langsdorf keep going back to it? Why doesn't Riley hold Langsdorf accountable for going back to it?

It's been fairly obvious since about the 4th week that Tommy was going to struggle executing what they want him to do. They lied about what they were going to have him do anyway. They were supposed to design an offense that played into his strengths. Tommy was doing well running zone read and scrambling for yardage early and they got away from it. No way he abandons it on his own. He had to have been told to quit.

I don't see this staff ever putting a quality product on the field. After Spring, Fall, and 13 weeks of games, this team is as sloppy as it gets when it comes to fundamentals and discipline. It's Boleeny the nice guy slinger.

There are coaches that pay attention to detail and those who don't. Meyer and Saban do, Neuheisal and Kiffen don't.

You don't lose to Golden, Pinkel, or Ferentz type coaches. You just don't.
