This is a huge game (next week) for multiple reasons. Can't wait.

It will be a little disappointing that it won't feature both Manning and Brady, but at this point we're definitely better off with Brock starting. He got a little experience and a little confidence today, and that will be important going into this next game, as we'll need everything we have to beat the undefeated Patriots. I think it works out favorably that he got the experience of a start, without giving Belichick more than one game of film to prepare for him. We'll soon see how this works out though.

I found myself thinking during the game today that I hope we did not unveil too much of the offense for the Patriots to see. I'm sure that Kubiak and staff would not and could not have used much of the playbook, but I'm just hoping they will have something up their sleeves specifically for the Pats. It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff game plans for them. And also how the Patriots game plan for us.

This will be a huge litmus test for how good we are with Oz at the helm. If we can beat the Patriots in Osweiler's second start, there will be nothing this team can't do.

Huge game. The Pats are likely going to beat the Bills tonight and come in at 10-0. It's going to take a whole team effort to come away with a win here. The defense is going to have to play it's cleanest game of the season. They've set a precedence and won't be given the benefit of the doubt in a close call, especially against Brady.

The offense has to repeat their Chicago performance (no turnovers) but finish drives this time.

This is a winnable game. The Broncos are an 8-2 team whose greatest opponent this far has been the Broncos. This is definitely a winnable game.

I'll be glued to the TV tonight to study the Broncos next opponent. The Patriots have dealt with some pretty serious injuries this year but seem to replace them seamlessly like growing a new leg. Sooner or later, that injury bug might catch up to them. I don't expect much of a fight from the Bills tonight. Rexy has been trying his "nice guy" routine all week but I don't think it will fill the gap of talent between these two teams.

Next Sunday, home field could be a factor. New England has had their struggles at Mile High over the years and they'll be coming off of a short week. BB will have some twist to his game plan, as he always does, especially knowing now that he'll be facing a QB in only his 2nd start.

This is the game of the season that many Broncos fans have been looking forward to all year since the schedule came out. It's just playing out differently than anyone imagined with Peyton on the sideline. Last chance IMO to have any kind of shot at home field in the playoffs for Denver.

Our defense will be mega-ramped up for this one. Go Broncos!

Some trivia:

The last QB to go undefeated against the Patriots (and Tom Brady, no less) was Jake Plummer. He went 3-0 against them.

Jake Plummer went to ASU, where he led them to a Rose Bowl berth. Osweiler also attended ASU.

Osweiler will be running essentially the same offense that Plummer enjoyed in his days in Denver.

I would say maybe Peyton and penalties and being unable to run Kubiaks system has effected run game thus far has my vote and I agree....winnable game vs the possibly 9-1 Pats :billb:

It does seem like the Kubiak/Shanahan style of offense does give Bill some fits. It is a little more of an improv style offense that you have so many things you can do from the exact same formation. To me seeing the TE's get involved in this past game like they did just makes this offense that much harder to game plan for now. You can't just sit on those outside routes. You have to defend the middle of the field now.

It would definitely be a huge boost to this team to win this next one. Will make them believe they can beat anybody again.

Two stats I heard today....Brady is 1-8 vs back up Qbs since entering league and losing Lewis and Edleman who produced 47% of offense for Pats is a substantial blow. Now I agree that Belichick seems to always get amazing results from guys that step in and Blount, imo is a very underrated mofo esp this time of year but I think losing Edelman is going to hurt the most. Amendola is good but he`s no Julian. I think this game will come down to.......Denver pressure up the middle from the D and Denver establishing a run game early. Also, if Denver has the lead at the half, they better play balls out 2nd half when Brady and co. are really at their best. They make such great adjustments at halftime. Prob the best I`ve ever seen. You have to keep up the intensity in 3rd and forth qtrs and make adjustments to counter Bills adjustments. Very difficult for sure. PS...Hopefully Bills give Pats all they can handle tonite physically!!! :)

Well the Broncos are starting out 5.5 point underdogs in the game against the Pats. Been a while since we have been in this underdog role like we have this year. We have been underdogs in 3 games this year now with Green Bay, Chicago, and now NE. Wouldn't mind us following suit and winning like we have the last 2 times.

In 2010 , NE destroyed NYJ 45-3 in week 11 only to lose to NYJ in the playoffs 28-21 at home.
The defense needs to travel back home and Denver needs to double Gronk with Marshall and Talib and force Brady to look elsewhere

The Broncos won't be playing the Patriots at full strength, so it won't really be a measure of strength against strength. Seriously, the Patriots without Lewis and Edelman are not the same as they are with them. That and the best defense in the NFL will be playing against a make shift Offensive Line.

If the Broncos win, they'll earn it and the victory will be deserved. If the Broncos lose.........what does that say about the Broncos?

That we had a qb that`s only had one NFL start going against Brady and Belichick and a top five D. Duh??? Gimme a break Ken. Thought you had more common sense than that

Including a playoff win against the Pats. The Broncos ended a 10-0 playoff run for the Pats with Plummer at the helm. Of course Plummer's Broncos always got smoked by the Colts. Hmm...So do Manning's.

Not sure if this is an early troll attempt or if you are serious?

You realize that by this point in the season every team has significant injuries right?

I mean the Broncos are on their 3rd string LT with Clady and Sambrailo both on IR. In this upcoming game against the Patriots we don't know if Sanders or Ware are going to play (both Pro Bowl players last year). Same with Evan Mathis now from what I understand who has been an All-Pro LG the last few years. We have our HOF QB injured and most likely not playing in this upcoming game. So not sure you using injuries is the best way to go to show that we wouldn't be facing the best Patriots because no team is at full strength right now.

As another poster pointed out what does it say about the Patriots if they can't beat a guy making his 2nd start at the most important position on the field? It should be a great game and I could see it going either way but I don't see a victory for either team meaning all that much. Heck what was it 2 years ago the Patriots beat the Broncos in the regular season to then have the Broncos beat them in the playoffs. There is just too much season left to be claiming ultimate victory just from one win or loss with still another 5 weeks of the season left after this. Every team other than 1 in NFL history has lost at least 1 game in a season. That hasn't stopped 48 other teams in NFL history from claiming victory at the end of the year.

Not much we did not already know. I would guess it tells me the pats are going 16-0 this season.

Your post sounded a lot like hedging the bets. "We are injured....this is going to test the broncos...."

The Patriots offense looked pretty vulnerable last night against the Bills. Of course, they've lost a lot to injuries but ole Rexy had Brady getting hit A LOT. I'm guessing Wade Phillips is going to dial up some blitzes and see if the Broncos can't get to the QB. Their running game was meh for the most part and Gronk really didn't do much by Gronk standards.

On the other side of the ball, I'm very impressed with the Patriots defense. I agree with those who have been saying that they're under-rated. Butler continues to impress in the secondary. He reminds me of Chris Harris Jr back there. The linebackers were swarming to the ball and the D-line was getting their fair share of disruption.

I also think that the Broncos offense is far more potent than Buffalo's, so we should see some production. Shady McCoy did look good though and it will be important yet again for us to get the running game going.

Should be a good buildup to this primetime game throughout the holiday week. Go Broncos!

All I'm saying is that the Patriots have not had the starting offensive line since week 2. At this point they have one starting Tackle in Vollmer who is just returning from a severe concussion. The Patriots don't even have a third string OL, they've brought up everyone from the practice squad. They've lost their starting RB, two starting WR, so I don't think I'm whining, I think the Patriots offense is patchwork at best. The only solid piece is Tom Brady and he can carry the offense, but how far? Hopefully Jamie Collins will return from the illness he's had for the past month. He's lost almost 30 lbs. during this mysterious illness and Belichick wouldn't let him play against the Bills because he needs to put weight back on to be sure he has his strength back.

I'm not trolling. I said that if the Broncos win, they'll earn it. I don't think the Pats are just going to rioll over because of the injury situation and I think Belichick will attempt to come up with some complex wrinkles to confuse Oz. The Patriots best chance for a victory is by having a defensive game plan that will really limit Osweiler and force the Broncos to run the ball. The strength of the Patriots defense is actually against the run.

My question at the end of my original comment was serious and not mean spirited. If the Broncos lose, what will that mean for them? This is a critical game for the Broncos. Going to 7-3 isn't going to kill them. I think they'll win the AFC West. Problem may be that they have to travel after the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. Where do they go? Cincinnati? Foxboro? If the injuries are as bad you say they are, are the Broncos in danger of possibly getting bumped down to a wild card slot?

CD, you know I'm not a troll. I'm trying to ask serious questions. A lot of Pats fans believe that the Broncos are salivating about having the Pats over for a Sunday Night game. I think the Broncos are as worried as the Patriots about having enough healthy bodies to put up a serious fight next Sunday.

Why are NE fans worried ? They are up to no good ... I will not waste my time to much on this they are back to the same old same old They will win until the NFL will have to look into what they are pulling again .. My guess it might be a wile but they will find they are listening in on all calls again .this time by radio frequency . if this is not case I will be very surprised .
