I haven't met either in person because of distance but we talk on the phone. You won't find better people. I also met @trojanfan12 in SoCal and consider him a friend. There are very good people here and most mean well but there are some ignorant assholes too.

It's astounding. It's just like me walking into your living room, criticizing you and your house, deliberately insulting and offending you, doing very obnoxious, selfish, inconsiderate things in an attempt to annoy, demanding preferential treatment, then when you say anything about it, call you names, get offended and accuse you of being a tyrant.

yeah man....Work got tired of the band width I was sucking up so I was cut off from most commercial locations. I was less than two months from retiring and I had a lot of personal things to get out of the way prior to leaving so blocking me on the computer allowed me to do other things I needed to get done before I retired.

My home internet sucked the big one. Cable's not run where I live and our DSL account was no better than dialup. Again...too far away from Verizon's hub. DSL was so bad, I just couldn't waste that much time looking at blank screens. So I didn't post from home either.

We had dish internet about 10 years ago and it sucked as well only working on sunny days. There's not many of those perfect days here. But they promised they have better coverage now and we signed up. So far it's been decent enough even working in the fronts that have moved through.

Also.....In this thread, you earlier mentioned about sometimes needing to get away. I was there. Now I'm back and I can again read LI's and flyerhawks bullshit and smile. Even give a response without going full troll.

Love the place hammer and glad to see you are keeping the lights on.

As the Hoops foremost manifesto connoisseur I can tell you that a manifesto is the airing of grievances that a poster makes before leaving in a huff.

The best manifesto's include at least 4 of the following 7 items:

1. An opening statement in which you declare that you are leaving the Hoop forever.
2. Telling us all about how much better the site you were at previously was.
3. Declarations that one or more of the admins/mods are trolls.
4. Instances in which you were unfairly dealt with by one or mods with the reason being that they either don't like your team or are favoring another poster who likes the same team as said mod(s).
5. General declaration that admins/mods abuse their power.
6. A list of grievances about other posters that you don't like who should be banned and have done far worse than you.
7. A declaration that you have not violated any site rules and are being targeted unfairly.

Also, to truly take your manifesto to the next level. You can threaten to sue the Hoop (usually for violating your rights), claim that you are such a computer expert that you will be here under alts that are undetectable and/or that you will simply hack in and shut the site down and there's nothing Hammer or any admins can do to stop you.

Also, while they do happen from time to time, threats/offers to buy the site are not advisable as Hammer may decide to take you up on it.
