At this point Pedroia should have stayed home. So far in this series he is 0-13. And he is the leader?

I like to look at that metric.

I brought it up last season and was roundly reviled, especially by Sox fans. Remember Rock? Now that the Padres have a high payroll, I'm sure it's much less taboo.

They're helpless in that regard.

The Padres are going to put together a little run and end up going after Hammels or someone else, then implode and have the worst payroll-to-wins ratio in the game today. Just watch. :L
did you catch that expose on your gm on espn last week.....aka "how to blow up a promising team in 10 easy steps"

And how is that Pablo Sandoval thing working out?

He looks so dumb right now and it has nothing to do with the hair.

When you get swept coming out of a break, that just screams of a manager who is not motivating his players. How can the Red Sox talk about bringing Farrell back?

Meh. He did a pretty good job motivating his players in '13 when they went into the season with pretty low expectations and then won the World Series.

I think getting swept coming out of a break, in this instance, just screams a shitty team played a pretty good team coming out of a break.

It's not that I think they'd implode if they chased Hamels, but I think the Pads would wind up unfortunate in that they could make a few pickups and make a decent run but still miss out because the NL is so stacked.

For your sake, I would hope the Mets Giants and Cubs make a few moves and the Padres realize the mountain is insurmountable.

That has been his only winning season in, what, 5 years of managing? At what point do you just say the guy got lucky as all fuck and move on?

That regime loves him, though.

I've always liked looking at that. Used to keep up on it much more than I do know, but it's interesting to me. Particularly if you look at it over multiple seasons.

I don't know why anybody would shit on that - it's how much each team paid for each win.

why they extended him with a year left in a "prove it" year is beyond me.

I think the entire team was lucky that year. They played over their heads for practically all season.

I don't care if he gets fired, I just think sometimes these guys get handed shitty teams and then get pissed on when they perform shittily.

That's some funny shit. I can't rate it as such though, because you having more positive ratings than comments is ridiculous. Protest.

I'm not prepared to confirm or deny the reckless that I had something to do with her 16,000 Likes.

All I will say is that Likes mean a lot to @moxie and our time together behind/under the Penalty Box means a lot to me.

Yeah, which is why I don't ride the "Fire Gibbons" train here. Maybe give him a rotation that isn't in the bottom 3rd of the AL every season and the Jays wouldn't be a .500 team with the best offence in the majors.
