You did

I was a Porcello fan as a solid mid rotation arm

But the extension just never made a lick of sense

Especially considering how many pitchers are available this winter

Yup. All the money they saved from unloading Crawford and Agonz was spent on new shitty contracts for Panda, Hanley and Porcello. It's almost as if they were required to give out some shitty deals....

At least Beckett had a history of being a successful MLB pitcher. We can't say the same for Porcello.

Beckett came off of a second half collapse the seasons before

I almost threw you through a window for dis- agreeing with me

You could see them desperately trying to trade all 3 much like the trade with the Dodgers

The pride to wear the uniform brings out the best in players

It's the opposite effect when your plane lands at Logan

I have to agree. The Yankees aren't very good, but they overachieve and play hard. They get the most out of their roster. Inevitably they fade by August every year, but at least you have a couple good months to look forward to. The Red Sox are ready for a firesale.

Do they hang a banner upside down in Fenway for 3 last place finishes in 4 seasons with one of the games highest payrolls? How does that work?

Honestly, I am disgusted at what I have seen. They truly look like they don't give a fuck. But that 2013 title does help ease the sting quite a bit. They just have no excuse for disappearing from a mediocre division like they have.

Pablo asking for the ball on his 100th double, down 4-0, really sums up the season

He's the comeback player of the year, so far. I truly didn't think he had it in him. Pretty sure that he and Arod are hanging with Cousin Yuri.

Honestly, I wonder if the lightening in a bottle the Red Sox caught in 2013 went to their heads and they figured they can build ok teams and have them play over their heads on a regular basis.

Has to be juicing

Arod will fade, the occasional HR, but he's already slowing

Tex looks like he's 22

I think you might be right on that. Everything Cherington touched turned to gold in his first year as GM. He probably started thinking it would always be that easy. Still no excuse to completely ignore the pitching like they did..... I can't kill him for signing Hanley and Panda. On paper, those moves made a lot of sense.

Those cheating Cards

Michael S. Schmidt of the New York Times reports that the F.B.I. and Justice Department prosecutors are investigating front-office officials for the Cardinals for hacking into the internal networks of the Astros.

Honestly not surprised at all by their season. I was shocked they entered this season with the highest payroll in the teams history, while compiling a starting 5 that had a cumulative ERA in 2014 of close to 6.00

These "experts" that handed them the division are as usual, clueless.

So true! All of a sudden he's right back to where he was in 2009 when he went to the Yankees. It was only a year ago that he said his wrist would prevent him from being the player he was ever again. And now this?!?!?! Kind of hard to accept, but I just want him to share with Papi.

Tough loss for Hu's Jays last night

Disappointed in the loss, but at least they battled back to take it into extrys. Going to mudstomp those Queens in Flushing tonight, though! So tired of them ripping off our best players: Syndergaard, d'Arnaud, Olerud, Tony Fernandez, Ricky Henderson...uhh...that fat guy who sucked...ahh, too many to mention, too many to mention...
