Anyone watched "No NO: A Documentary" on Showtime? I haven't seen it yet, but I intend to watch it. It's about Doc Ellis, who claims he was on LSD when he threw a no-hitter.

I want to see it too. Reminds me of the horrible story of Eric Show for the Padres. :L

"Oh, fuck you, Earl. Fuck you. You're a liar. Fuck you, Earl."

I think it should be pretty interesting. I remember reading with skepticism Ellis' claim several years ago. Can't imagine a person on LSD going out and pitching in front of tens of thousands of people, let alone throwing a no-no. Trippy story!

Must have been an absolutely legendary trip, huh?

The Yankees are a better team, and healthier, than most experts expected. Unlike the NFL and NBA, it is amazing to me how wrong these "experts" are in figuring out the best teams. I know it is April, so I realize it's early.

The only experts I listen to are the odds makers in Vegas. If they're wrong too often they get fired. The Yanks are interesting this year because just about the entire team (Outside of Gardner and Elsbury) has question marks. They can win 70 game or 90 games and I probably won't be surprised either way.

To put this in perspective, this would be like you proclaiming half through the second NFL game of the season that the experts were all wrong.

Maybe but:
1) Kelly looked great through 5. Sucks that he just lost it like that. Also sucks because if he had made it through 6 before the wheels came off Farrell likely has a quicker trigger on pulling him.
2) the Sox shut out the Rays the night before.

I think Vegas has the Yankees over under around 78 games this year. The last 3 years I had bets and the Vegas number was within 2 wins each year. I'm sure they blew a few but it always amazes me how close those guys come.

Check out Jon Heyman (CBS) predictions for 2014. He got all NL playoff participants, most of the AL and had the Royals going to the WS and losing (to the Dodgers but still). No one had the Royals doing shit but him. Pretty impressive.

Haven't seen it, but I've heard it was entertaining.

I think you can stream it on Netflix as well.

He's on a local sports radio station in NY a couple times a week. The guy knows his stuff.

I put the important part in bold above. Guys like Pineda, Teixeira, Ellsbury, Tanaka, Sabathia, Gardner, Beltran & Arod are ALL healthy right now. Odds of that lasting a full season???

I can believe it. I had friends who would trip constantly - as in when they'd come down, they'd eat more - for a weekend doing whatever. They'd perform on stage like that.
