5 ALCS starts vs NYY...

his ERA is 4.72 in those games, and thats WITH his 7 IP, 2 H, 12k shutout of the yanks in his first ALCS start.

his last 4 ALCS starts vs NYY?

27.1 IP
30 hits
18 ER
5 HR
11 walks
28 K's

daddy.

Twenty-seven whole innings?!

He got knocked around by the A's and Angels in those playoffs, too. Maybe he was gassed. Maybe he chokes in the playoffs. More evidence of that in those numbers than anything that would refute what happened in 200+ regular season innings vs NYY.

I'm amazed by the lengths you'll go to cherry pick stats that support a narrative about how arguably the best Red Sox pitcher ever was owned by the Yankees.

Precautionary X-rays on Chris Sale's hip came back negative.

It's nothing more than a contusion, sustained after he was hit by a comebacker Saturday, and Sale should be fine in a few days. He's on track to start on Opening Day for the BoSox.:suds:
