Life without the possibility of parole.

He also will stand trial for the murder of the two guys in Boston before he killed Odin Lloyd.

I was actually suprised, giving how long it took. That usually indicates a holdout.

Given the shit pile they presented as evidence I have to say I'm surprised that they returned with a guilty verdict on Murder 1.

Don't get me wrong I think Hernandez is a POS and guilty as sin, but the threshold for "beyond a reasonable doubt" is rarely reached with circumstantial evidence and hearsay.

As the decision dragged out I really was starting to think it would be a hung jury.

That's a verdict I did not expect, certainly not based on what I read. Evidence mostly circumstantial, conflicting testimony and no murder weapon. Life with no possibility of parole? Just WOW! Boston is a tough town!!

Slim pool of eligible jurors...All the compassionate ones were serving on the marathon bombing trial.

On August 27, 2012, NE signed Hernandez to a 5 yr extension worth up to $40 million, & a $12.5 million signing bonus.

I wonder if the Pats can get any money back? I believe the Kraft's have fought paying him. He'l be sued for whatever money he has left. I'm sure his house and cars get sold. He probably wont have high priced lawyers for the next trial.

If he's going to prison with no possibility of parole, what's the point?

In case this trial gets overturned on some crazy appeal. They don't want to risk him getting out of prison for any reason.

For the murders in Boston they have Hernandez's bloody clothes and the gun which they found in an SUV he rented that was being stashed in his uncle's garage in Bristol, CT. The double murder is pretty much a slam dunk. He'll get two more concurrent life sentences

He'll get out in 2050 for good behavior and prison over crowding.

2050? Maybe he'll be able to play for the jets?

I get that GNG, and I'm shedding no tears here but on what evidence did they convict? Unless there was some shit I missed, there was no real proof.

Hows the bambino?

The prosecution didn't need to prove he pulled the trigger to convict him of murder. All they needed to prove is that he was there & that he participated(picking him up & driving him to scene of his death at 2 am in the morning is participating). Both of which the prosecution easily proved. The defense conceded that he was there in their closing arguments. For the defense to do that, they had to know things weren't going well.
