The whole scratching of Bergenheim thing is weird...can't really help his trade value, right?

I thought he might have been traded by now, but it just doesn't make sense - you'd think they would have put him back in the lineup by now

I think they know he's had injury issues in the past and they don't want him getting hurt before trading him, hence why they're not playing him - because I don't think there'd be any other explanation to scratch him because he is one of the better forwards when you look deeper into the stats and what he brings to the table

Scuttlebutt is Leopold is being showcased. Him and Anisimov may get moved.

Maybe Nashville because they're looking for a center, although I'm not sure he's the offensive threat they really want

Still seems weird to me. It's not going to help his value by making him a healthy scratch. If I'm a GM I bring that up in negotiation to help keep the price down. "2nd rounder? Oh, well, then why has he not played in a week? Is he a bad teammate? Is he not worthy to be in the lineup?"

Anisimov can play wing, in fact he's been on wing with Foligno the last few games. Anisimov and Forsberg could be magic.

Jackets would sure like a shot eating, shut down defenseman. Haven't seen many Preds games, is Volchenkov still as good as he was in Ottawa?

And Fiala looked solid at the WJHC. Wonder if Nashville would be crazy enough to part with him? Kinda doubt Leopold and Anisimov is enough for him...

So, who's in the market for the league's most injury-prone body that costs $5.5 million a year for another 3?

Ronnie Franchise shut down JStaal rumors today, putting my mind at ease. Love to have him back, but not at $6M/yr for the next forever.
