Homer, please also include such original insults as "bitter" and "hater" and "jelly" as well so I know it's you posting and someone hasn't hacked your account. Just makes me feel better, amigo! :thumb:

The insult neither added or detracted from the meaning of the sentence so allow me to rephrase that.

I know you think you're masking your disappointment but Midnight did a better job of convincing us.

No I said top 5 , maybe top 10 meaning you can argue about a few QB's that might nudge him to #6, 7 spot. I have him top 5 because I never saw the Grahams. Starrs, Unitas, Luckman etc play

Bart Starr led the Lombardi era Packers to 5 NFL Championships including the first 2 Super Bowls.

I've seen all the stats posted on here saying Brady is better than Montana, the yards and completions and TD passes and all that BS. Throw all that out the window and just look at one stat, Completion %, they are almost identical. Sure Brady will have more passing yards, more completions and more TD passes because he plays in an area where teams pass most of the time. Could you imagine Montana to Rice in todays NFL? Just bench the running backs they wouldn't be needed. Sure Brady's been to two more Super Bowls than Montana, but he lost two. It took Brady 6 Super bowls to break Montana's passing TD record that Montana set in just 4 games. Did anyone ever see Montana throw an INT in a Super Bowl? Nope. The rules have changed so much, and they favor the QB, I mean who ever heard of the tuck rule until that snowy day in New England? Not I and I have been watching football for 40 years. Wonder what Montana and Rice would have done if Rice couldn't be touched after 5 yards? Scary isn't it? As for Brady not having any talent around him, well that's just horse shit. He has had one of the best O-lines in football his entire career, wonder how he fairs in Pittsburg where Big Ben gets killed every year due to bad o-line, yet he still has two rings. Did you ever hear of Montana needing a kicker to win his Super Bowls? How about a last second INT? Nope. Remember the drive against Cincy? No I'm still taking Montana, Brady is the best of his era, but his era favors QB's.

They started cracking down on WR contact in 1978. That's when they instituted the 5 yard rule.... fwiw. There have been tweaks since then, but that was the watershed moment that really opened up the passing game. The WCO came shortly after and avg QB ratings began their climb which hasn't really stopped yet.

Bart doesn't get enough credit for what he's done outside of Wisconsin... that's for sure. He was money in post season.

From another message board, and it's a good point:

"Brady's Patriots are now 4-1 in the playoffs when he passes the ball 50+ times. Every other QB in history has combined to go 3-27 in that situation."

... Usually teams pass 50 times because a) they've gotten behind due to poor defensive play or b) the running game does not work. In both instances the QB and offense are at a disadvantage. In this toughest of situations against the toughest competition in the playoffs Brady succeeds. That's what separates him from everyone else.

Hammer makes a comment and thread blows up by 7-8 pages.

So funny how he can bash on the Pats or Brady and have a thread just blow up.

lmao luck doesn't have small hands and has to deflate balls .

but it appears the Colts had to invent a conspiracy to try to derail the Pats. It's not a coincidence that the only ball from the AFCG that was actually 2.5 psi below the league minimum was the one the Colts had on their sideline. All the other balls tested, per the league were a 'tick' below minimum. With your slimy owner I wouldn't put it past the Colts organization to try such a tactic. Obviously you failed miserably in the game and I hope the league bitch slaps the hell out of the Colts. Chew on that mother fucker!!!

Here's something I can get on board with. The father was even more slimy!

Pagano is a class act though.

Pagano seems to be the flower in a pile of weeds.
