I don't know why you all are overreacting like this. The Cavs have JR, they will be just fine.
lol

Chicken Little references are very appropriate here as the Cavs are still in the East, have been playing without the best player on the planet, are integrating newly acquired players and yet are still firmly in playoff contention.
He isn't the best player on the planet this year. Took a step backwards. If you are happy with that record then that is sad. Your team looks weak as hell. If you were in the west you guys would be be out of the playoffs.
These players don't know how to win. When LBJ went to Miami he teamed up with players that know what it takes to win. This cleveland team is a mess right now and now they added JR. Big mistake.
Very true.
Being marginalized by Kyrie isn't helping either.
Again, Kyrie is a short sg, not a pg.
I think they would be better served with a guy like prime J-Kidd or maybe even Rondo.
Lebron wold last longer and the bigs would be much happier.
Kevin or Kyrie needs to go.

Every player that currently knows how to win was once a player who didn't know how to win. Its something that only comes with the experience of winning. They'll learn, slowly... if they can get the ship righted.
LeBron knew that he was teaming up with players that didn't know how to win. No matter how many posters on this forum want to trivialize the fact that he knew that and said that... the fact is he knew that and he said that.
Maybe?
I have a really bad habit of believing the hype about a team before they've even played their first game.
I was on record saying the Bulls would come out of the East.
But, I thought the Cavs would burn up the Regular Season and make it to the ECF...with ease

Lebron also said that it was going to be a "process" and that he would have to be "patient." However, the moves that the Cavs have made scream the exact opposite of process and patience.

The team making personnel moves from a win-now standpoint (trading wiggins for Love & two 1st rounders for Mozgov) has nothing to do with the coaches and players going through the process and being patient, IMO.
Regardless of whether the Front office has a strategy to get proven players now or to develop young players for the future... the current players (who are largely new teammates regardless of the strategy) will need to be patient and respect the process of building chemistry and learning to play as a team.
The problem with this is that Lebron said he didn't expect to "win-now". He said it would be a process and they had to be patient. The process has barely begun and they're already making what appear to be panic moves.
I don't remember the Heat being this active with trades in the first year of their Big 3.
to be fair- the HEat did not have any assets to trade
they had to include 2 first round picks to Toronto and 2 first round picks to Cleveland- which basically meant they did not have a first round pick to trade for years to come.
The Cavs came into the situation with a bevy of assets they had collected over their rebuilding stretch- which has given them the flexibility to make these deals.
Also- last time with Mo and Jamison- those guys were counted on to be the 2nd and 3rd best guys on the team- roles they simply were not equipped to play.
This time- the heavy lifting is done- the big guys are in place- AND the Cavs still had the assets leftover to make moves for the role players that they lacked last time
This is an underated part of a rebuild- you cannot just go and get the studs and leave yourself with no means to fill out your team.
OKC has done a great job of this- caching draft picks while they compete to keep adding to the team.
Its something the Heat could not do and eventually ended up costing them last year. Its something the Knicks didnt do- they spent all their assets acquiring Melo and had very little left to put players around Melo. Its kinda what happened in LA- once they acquired NAsh and Howard- the Lakers really didnt have much in the way of assets to add role players around those guys- Nash gets hurt- and the rest is history.
Its all well and good to get the studs on your team- but if you leave yourself broke in assets to add around them- like the Cavs did the first time with LEBron- you have to be near perfect when using your midlevels and veteran exceptions to add around the team- because there is no margin of error.
The Cavs were lucky they had some assets to spend to fix their problem areas- things they did not have last time- and a situation many teams found themsleves in over the last couple years
As usual, you completely miss the point. The point is that Lebron said going in that this is a "process", they have to be "patient" and he doesn't expect to "win-now."
If you have a "process" that you trust and believe in, then you are "patient" and allow the "process" to time to develop, even if it means you don't "win-now".
What this shows is that the Cavs and/or Lebron either no longer believe in or trust the process or that despite what Lebron said, they are expecting to "win-now". The moves they are making reek of desperation, not patience. So who lost faith in the "process"?

Trojan,
you know as well as I do that LeBron learned from his mistake of "not one! not two! not three! etc."
LeBron is fully aware of the expectations that would accompany him coming home and playing with Kyrie and Love- and learned the WORST thing to do is to put additional pressure on yourself- so he did the smart thing and tried to lessen that pressure.
make no mistake- LeBron did not resign in Cleveland not to win titles- you know that and i know it. If LeBron REALLY believed that youd probably still have Wiggins on the team.- and Wiggins is much more important than any late round picks
