Are you serious? This is a horrible trade for the Eagles to make.

Horrible?

You are using only 1 extra 1st rounder (which hopefully is in the 20s/30s). Foles would be gone anyway & Curry barely plays.

It certainly is in no way horrible for us.

Would Tampa do it? If they like Foles & are not sold on Mariota...yea!

After Tampa is done laughing, I would ask why would they want one year of Foles and Curry? They have a Foles clone already in Mike Glennon. Keep dreaming Swat but this is not where near enough.

Who says they are getting just 1 year from those guys? If they are good..they will re-sign them. Plus they get a mid 1st this year + a 1st next year.

You are talking about 4 starters on their team vs 1.

Glennon? Has he had a 27-2 season? Nope. Not even close.

The only Chance I see for the Eagles would be this

We would trade Nick Foles, 3 #1 picks and Vinny Curry to Tampa and the ONLY reason I think Tampa would consider this is because Vinny Curry should be an Every down DE in a 4-3 and he could be a STUD...Nick Foles could be a stop gap to their New QB that they take in rd 2 then they take those 3 #1 picks and rebuild. I only see this as a slight possibility only because Tampa is so bad. But I highly, highly doubt it.

The key is Foles. If they like Foles, they may do it. Especially if they are not sold on Mariota. I also dont think it would take 3 #1s. Just 2 + Foles & Curry. It about adds up to the #1 pick value. Maybe throw in another 4th or somethin for good measure.

I think there is a chance & Im gonna hold out hope till draft day.

We need the Bucs to beat the Saints this week! That might be a better chance... :)

This team has too many holes on defense to trade away any 1st and/or second round picks.

QB is not the major problem on this team like some think. Sure if the trade was in the Eagles favor you have to consider it but the price is too high for Mariota.

If the secondary was even average we are looking at team playing for home field advantage.

I listen to Tampa's main station here at work all day ... we have no shot at trading for him. If they get the #1 pick I doubt they will even bother listening to offers. They pretty much played with no real offensive coordinator here as Tedford had health issues and took a knee before the season began. If they get the #1 pick they are going to get the top read option guy available as their OC and start negotiations with Mariota. Our only slight hope is if Mariota completely falls on his face in the college playoffs ... something like 8-25 with 3 Int's and no TD's :) Nahhh, even then I think they take him.

If Mariota gets hurt maybe we have a shot.

To get Mariota a team (any team) is going to have to mortgage the future. I do not know what his ability will show in the NFL but he is the type of player coaches dream of. He is IMO just like Russell Wilson in ability and demeanor as a person.

I think Mariota will be better than Wilson. The kid is the anti-RG3 with regards to attitude. A team first guy who could care less about his personal stardom and is all about constantly getting better thru film study and working with coaches. Tools wise and size wise he is like a blue print ... Excellent arm, will probably run 4.5 or better and just like Wilson has a very high football IQ (doesn't run just because he can). Now, all that being said, he's only ready to step in to a read-option type game ... if a team is going to draft him into a more conventional style offense they will need a few seasons in order for him to adjust (see Aaron Rodgers).

I don't think he's got the NFL brain to make the reads he needsto be successful. Plus I hate QBs out ta Urban Meyers system, Alex Smith is like the only half decent one he's produced.

A couple of things about this.. Regardless of Brax's redshirt and playing college another year, he is not what the Eagles need. Im a huge Buckeye fan and watch every game Brax has played. Brax is very good with his legs and very good speed. That being said, he has a weak arm, his accuracy and mechanics as a passer lack for he next level. Tyrell Pryor fits the bill better if you want a guy like this. Pryor is much bigger and has the speed and arm strength to make it work in Chip's system.

Weak Arm??? LMAO! Stop it! When a Qb can throw a 55 yard frozen Rope(very little air under it) that is a strong arm. Did you not see last years game vs Wisconsin? I'm not huge braxton Miller fan, he just seems like a Read option fit....I know he can spin that ball well, and he can run left and sling it 50 plus across his body, that is a strong arm to me. That said, all this is a moot point because he is returning to Ohio St.

If Tampa isnt getting a QB in return, they would say no for sure. Thats where Foles comes in. He is awesome.

It could happen. Mariota is not Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning. So...there is a chance.

Guess we have to draft Bennett, and have Foles tutor him for 2 years. Meantime, we build a dominating defense, and shore up the OL.

How bout this...

1. Trade our #1 pick (16-20) + 2016 (1st rd pick) + Vinny Curry to Raiders for their #1 (Could be 3rd overall). The Raiders need a ton of help & most likely will be looking to trade down.

2. Then trade #3 overall + our 2nd rd. pick in 2015 + QB Nick Foles + to Bucs for their #1 overall selection. Bucs could then use that pick on Leonard Williams. We get Mariota.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if we get to pick #3, Mariota could simply pull an Eli Manning or John Elway demand he play for the Eagles. It could happen.
