I can't wait to see more of Strickland. He is the filthiest late inning reliever we have had since maybe F-Rod

That Panik kid is a good looking young ball player... smokes a leadoff triple of Stammen...
Busty Poser promptly singles him in...3-zip.

Watching Panik is watching a left handed Posey with less power with the same above average defensive play.

The core of our team has come up nicely. Susac is another one of our young players who has been very instrumental in our playoff push with average play behind the plate and clutch offensive output when our team needed it most.

Posey out by a mile & Panda whiffs on a hit & run, for the strike em out throw em out DP.

Don't know the rationale of playing hit and run with a slow runner and a free-swinging guy fighting his way out of a slump at the plate.

Actually, if they had called him safe on the field, it would not have been reversed. It was that close.

Panda is such a great contact guy, he is the exact payer you hit-and-run with. I agree on the slump argument, though...

hit and runs have a 31% success rate. u have a team on the ropes and u give them 2 outs

Boch was 2 batter late with that hook. The Nats had him timed.

Assuming the 31% is accurate, that does not mean that there is a double play 69% of the time though. Panda is the kind of hitter who will get the bat on the ball more often than not, but is susceptible to the GIDP normally. So putting on the HnR with a molasses runner on first is pretty sound.
