Bledsoe does not want to play in Arizona.

He is nowhere near a max worthy player.

He and his agent know this.

Mark my words:

Bledsoe and Dragic very well may share the same backcourt for many years to come.

But, it will be for the Lakers or the Knicks.

I honestly believe that crowded backcourt was the final nail in the coffin.

They drafted a pg in the first round and signed Thomas.

Correct me if I'm wrong...Doesn't Gerald Green get minutes at SG too?

WTF? Please never comment again.

There is a theory in economics called supply vs demand - the price goes up when the demand goes up or the supply goes down which makes him worth whatever a team is willing to spend on him.

They can't offer him a max unless it's a sign and trade. lolzzzzz Unless Wiggins is involved (not happening) then I don't see it happening at all. Carry on.

I honestly can't believe ESPN reported a false story. I'm shocked.(sarcasm) I mean, they don't have enough cap space to offer him a max. Is anyone else laughing at this?

So you rather the Suns match the contract then take a sign and trade?

They only have 2 choices here.

A) Let him know via S&T

B) Match the deal

What about ESPN story is false? Wojnarowski reported basically the same thing.

The Wolves are offering Bledsoe the four-year, $63 million maximum level contract that he has been seeking, sources said, but because of cap restrictions, the only way he can join the team as currently constructed is through a sign-and-trade deal.

Yahoo Sports Woj

The Timberwolves are showing a willingness to offer Bledsoe a four-year, $63 million maximum contract in a sign-and-trade, but only if they could dump undesirable contracts onto the Suns, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

On September 19, Bledsoe may finally be getting his wish. Fox 10 in Phoenix initially reported a max offer to Bledsoe coming from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com also has a report about this offer from the Wolves for four years and $63 million.

Everyone has basically reported the same exact thing and as you can see here Fox 10 in Phoenix first broke the story.

How do you not comprehend this... they CAN'T offer him a max deal unless it's in a sign and trade. If Phoenix doesn't talk to Minny about a deal and take back a contract or two then how does it happen? It doesn't. Phoenix is in the driver's seat and I don't want anyone other than Wiggins on that roster.

Only loophole would be for Minny to make a separate trade to clear cap space and then sign him to the offer sheet and hope Phoenix doesn't match. Because the Suns definitely have enough money.

The Suns are going to be screwed if he signs the QO and leave for nothing next year.

You're better off doing the S&T if you can't/don't want to give him the max

No I agree with that, but the whole max contact thing is what doesn't make sense to me.

I agree I wouldn't bring him back for the max but I'll make sure I trade him so I don't lose him for anything next summer

The Minnesota "offer" is meaningless. He can't sign their "offer" which means the Suns don't have to match.

The Suns are standing pat for now unless a good deal comes along. They can just pay him the $4 mil qualifying offer & trade him near the trade deadline. With Bledsoe being relatively cheap this season, he will be easier to trade. There are more than a few teams who could trade for him & his Bird rights so that they would have the leg up in signing him beyond this season.

Bledsoe is the one that will lose out by signing the qualifying offer. That is a guaranteed $48 mil he is leaving on the table for $4 mil. Even if everything goes right for him this season & he gets a close to max or full max deal after this season, it will still take him more than a few seasons to make up for the $8 mil difference in salary he will be losing this season. And if he gets injured(again), he will see a lot less than the $12 mil a season he passed up.

How is it a false story? They clealy said that the only way to get him was through sign and trade.

If I was Phoenix I would just accept rebuilding if Bledsoe had the audacity to walk and leave them with nothing. It's not like they're going to win a championship any time soon in that conference with those small lineups.

Bledsoe would have to agree to the trade.
