I think the Suns gave him a fair offer in the 4 yr/48 million they offered him.

IMO he does not deserve more than Lowry.

What would you pay him?

MOST I'd do is 4 year 52 million but his ridiculous agent really thinks he's worth a max contract which is just ludicrous.

Only reason I would pay him slightly more than Lowry/Lawson is because of age and potential. I understand all that, but at the same time his knees aren't very reliable and he still hasn't started an entire season yet. He's good, but not as good as his agent has led him to believe.

It's really such a shame that his agent could be the reason the Dragic/Bledsoe/Thomas trio never happens. I was really looking forward to that.

Bledsoe does not want to play in Arizona.

He is nowhere near a max worthy player.

He and his agent know this.

Mark my words:

Bledsoe and Dragic very well may share the same backcourt for many years to come.

But, it will be for the Lakers or the Knicks.

I honestly believe that crowded backcourt was the final nail in the coffin.

They drafted a pg in the first round and signed Thomas.

Correct me if I'm wrong...Doesn't Gerald Green get minutes at SG too?

Agreed. Bledsoe is probably gone. Dragic has said he's hitting FA but intends to resign with the Suns "if the offer is fair". I can't imagine the Suns not offering him close to the max.

Bledsoe is possible for sure, especially if he accepts his QO. But they think Dragic is their guy and they will pay him like it... they would've already agreed to an extension but he can only make so much (due to contract restrictions) of a percentage increase in his yearly salary.

1st day of Free Agency expect him to sign a max deal or close to it with Phoenix. I have some ins in the Suns front office and it's already pretty much a done deal. Bledsoe is the big ? long term... it's just a waiting game.

Delusional?

I don't have a dog in this race.

All I can go by is what I read in the papers, blogs.

Time will tell which of us is right.

But, if all things are equal, the lure of the nightlife, endorsements that come with playing in NY and Los Angeles will always trump Arizona unless the Suns start winning.

I don't even see them making the playoffs this year with the improvement, return to health of other franchises in the West.

I'll be sure to remind you of this 12 months from now when one, or both, are gone.

Suns guards Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, both of whom could be unrestricted free agents next summer, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein:

The Lakers, for example, are just one team league sources say would likely make a hard run at both of them, based on the premise that the Suns couldn’t afford the cost of paying both at that point, theoretically making either Bledsoe or Dragic gettable.

It is no guarantee that either of them will be free agents next summer. Dragic is the more likely as he can opt-out of his contract, and will likely stand to make more money if he has another season similar to last year.

Bledsoe on the other hand, is a restricted free agent right now, but he and the Suns have been unable to come to terms on a long-term contract. He is contemplating signing a one-year qualifying offer which would then make him unrestricted next summer as well.

The Lakers will be loaded with cap space next summer, so expect the team to be in the mix for every major name in free agency.

I know things you don't. Simple as that. Sorry if I come across as cocky. But as far as Im concerned Dragic has already signed long-term in Phoenix. Just so you know...

I understand what you've read is all you know since you don't follow the Suns, but Dragic is a Sun for the foreseeable future. Bledsoe on the other-hand... you could be completely right about. Not even our front office knows what's going on. It's just such a rare situation.

I don't think you came off as cocky at all.

If you have an insider within the organization that's great.

I am not a Laker fan. But, I live in the market and hear most of their news on Talk Radio.

As far as Dragic being signed?

I'm sure several teams have backdoor/illegal extensions worked out with certain guys.

* KLove*

But, until the ink is dry, nothing is guaranteed.

* See Carlos Boozer and the Cavs.

Ps. Didn't the Suns do the samething with Dragic, that they did with Nash?

Traded him away cause they thought the other guy was better, only to realize years later that they should have hung on to him?

I never in a million years thought Lebron would leave South Beach to be Lord of the Flies in Ohio.

But, it happened.

I watch the Suns quite a bit.

But, no...I don't " follow" them.

However, Bledsoe was my 2nd favorite Clipper outside of Blake and I do follow him.

He loved it here and didn't want to leave.

Sadly, he was never gonna supplant Paul, Sterling was not gonna pay him.

So, the Clippers dealt him before he could walk to the team across the hall for nothing.

Dragic is too smart too look that far into the future. Still holding out hope that he comes to the Pacers. We'll have the money if West and Hibbert both opt out. But, he is a Phoenix Sun at the moment and he's smart enough not to play games with the media. He'll keep his options open, but I'll tell you right now that he won't leave Phoenix unless it's a winning situation. That is not the Lakers, who only have a past.

Bledsoe is a different situation completely. He's taking a big chance by turning down so much guaranteed money. The longer this drags out, the more leverage the Suns gain. It's starting to look more and more as if this dispute will hang over our heads into the regular season.

The only instance I could think of an NBA player holding out over a contract dispute is Gus Williams in the early 80's, and that was a different age.

Another thing to consider if you're Bledsoe is that if this happens, you will only hurt your free agent stock for other teams if you hit unresricted free agency. For instance, if you're a team like the Knicks - Would you cut a big check for a guy like Bledsoe, who traditionally has played parts of seasons, knowing you already have a significant amount of money tied to Jose Calderon at the same position?

Another question that could and should be asked
- Might Bledsoe's arrogance eventually fall on LeBron? Because he and LeBron are the two notable NBA talents represented by LBJ's childhood friend, Rich Paul.

I think Dragic will have several options too. If I'm a Team with Max cap space, I'm contacting him at 12:01:lol:.

He would be awesome for the Pacers. I haven't looked at their cap situation. But, would it be possible for them to get Dragic and Jefferson/Monroe?

Monroe is another guy who left money on the table. But, his agent didn't go the asshole route like Paul. He actually discouraged offer sheets because his client didn't want the Pistons to match.

Ben Gordon is the most recent guy that I can remember leaving fair money on the table. The Bulls dodged a bullet:nod:.

He turned down 5/50 to take 5/55 from the Pistons.

Tell your insider they need to go back to the 90s color schemes. That orange and black stuff they've tried the last couple of years is wack.

Dragic is possible, but the West/Hibbert situation is a little cloudy at the moment which in any situation will likely keep the Pacers from adding an expensive big man in free agency. If the Pacers struggle early, West could be traded. But if both he and Hibbert are around to end the season, both will likely take pay cuts for more long-term money.

The Pacers also still may have to find a taker for either George Hill or Ian Mahinmi in order to make a competitive offer for Dragic.

Mecca,

I don't think money is that great an object for Greg Monroe, yet. I think he's just tired of losing...
