This, plain and simple.

Like I said, I heard about this last night and the story was that some guy challenged Stewart (a known hotheaded asshole) and he killed him for it. Then I watched the video and there's just no evidence of it. We even had a sprint car driver in this thread say that Stewart may have never even seen him.

YEP, another vid needs to show where tony was coming down the back stretch. the vid out know is too inconclusive.

The notion that Stewart didn't see him is just plain absurd.

...as would seem the claim from thousands of drivers who've pulled out in front of motorcycles in broad daylight.

That kid should not have been WHERE HE WAS.

If someone jumps out in the middle of the road does it mean it's their fault if you hit the gas and run over them?

Experts are saying that the fact that Stewart hit the gas proves he was trying to avoid the kid.

actually that's NOT 100% TRUE.. one could argue he got out of his WRECKED car to head to the infield to get to et a ride from from a safety worker to his pits. that's just one accuse off the top of my head i came up with. drivers almost always get out of their wrecks cars.

You'll end up in prison for manslaughter for not doing what was in your power to avoid them. At no point does someone ignorantly walking out in the middle of the road give you the right to hit the gas and increase the odds they are struck.

I commend you for at least admitting that your original opinion was based upon unfounded emotion and not trying to rationalize it the next day when the evidence pointed in a different direction.

Well you could argue that, but you'd be wrong. He obviously wanted to let Stewart know he was mad.

The view is restricted in the sides, not the front.

And the kid was struck by the rear tire.

And he stepped towards Stewart's car at a pretty dumb point in time as well where reaction time is very low.

that's not what im saying though. ITS COMMON FOR DRIVERS TO BE ON THE TRACK after a wreck. HINTS other drivers should be aware of safety workers and OTHER DRIVERS on the track under cation.
