I've had the pleasure of living in winning in NFL, NBA and MLB Championship cities up and down the west coast: Los Angeles Dodgers, LA Raiders, LA Lakers, Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors and now Seattle Seahawks. I also grew up in Chicago, so I can also claim 6 NBAs, 1 Bears and 1 Whites Sox championship.
Go White Sox !!!!

People take shots at champions because the haters are jealous flaccid shits with nothing else to do.

Enjoy the moment Seahawks fans, you deserve it and nothing they can say or do can take it away from you.

Russell Wilson is the best QB in the NFL right now.

I've said all of this. Well except for the RW being the best of course. :L

I said earlier in this thread I used to wish it was our team being raked over the coals because it meant we were relevant.

That doesn't mean I don't also enjoy blowing up some of the stupidity. It's part of the fun.

SF was better than Seattle two years ago. They were a little down after a Super Bowl run, something Seattle is about to experience. St Louis is coming, and now their freakish DLine will be matched against the weakest area on the Seahawks, their OL. Both SF and St Louis are stronger up front, Seattle has the first place schedule, and the league will take away the things Wilson does best. The Seahawks will still win 9-10 games, but be home for Christmas

Have to look tomorrow when I have a computer but browner doesn't count as an 8 game suspension. He counted in the injury numbers pretty sure so take out those 8 games.

So, in the toughest division in the game(even Arizona is a handful), with those 6 division games against teams that had great drafts, with a first place schedule, and the league putting a target on your back, you think the Champs falling to 9-10 wins is LOL? You might want to check your history books when it comes to teams that won the Super Bowl and how they did the next season

I will change my Avatar to Russell Wilson for a year vs you changing yours to Romo for a month that Seattle doesn't win that division OR the Super Bowl. Bet?

9 games that is what you thought the Seahawks would win. I damn sure the Seahawks will win more then 9. You want to adjust that?

I only ask because it sounds like your backing off that.

What's with you and trying to appear big by attempting to goad people into completely stupid bets?

No one in their right mind would make such a bet. How about turn it around and put Cowboys in it? Still want to make it now?

Quit being lame.

No, seriously.

I said 9 or 10. It sounds like you are scared of my original bet of the division. Must be ringing true. SF or St Louis got ya scared:whistle:

Lame bets? This thread is about who would win the NFC West. Apparently anyone who says a team other than Seattle is open to attack. You two idiots came at me. I'm just asking you to put up or shut up. Seattle won't win their division this year

Eh. Regardless of who you pick to win the division it is your outright hatred of the Seahawks and statements of them not being able to make the playoffs this year that have raised the ire of some fans.

Personally I think that all of the NFC West teams could win this year. It is an excellent division with 4 great to solid teams. But to disregard the Seahawks as an afterthought with no chance (which is often the way you come across) is just plain stupidity based on your being a blind hater.

You should worry more about your crazy-assed owner instead of your pathetic anti-Seahawk obsession, but I have seen your type many times before and expect nothing less from you than what we have already seen. I look forward to making fun of your lame hostility.

Right, so if we go by that list Seattle was 14th in terms of INJURY lost games. Add in Browner missing 8, WT missing 4, and Irvin missing 4 and they would slide down to 23rd. Now, before you claim it was self inflicted and doesn't count I'll say it very much does. 3 idiots end up hurting their team by missing games and Seattle has to scramble to cover those valuable starting roles just the same as if they had injuries. Only difference is in the case of Irvin and Thurmond they knew exactly when they would return.

Sorry, but your stats actually prove Seattle had one of the worst seasons in the league when it comes to actual games missed by starting players.

Ok so few things I have figured out just doing a bit of research. First off not sure why I missed this earlier but you can't count Walter Thurmond in the numbers. He was not a starter. This list is counting who would have been starting week 1 if healthy. They also go off of the base defense which is the 4-3 for Seattle. That means Thurmond's 4 do not count. 2nd is that Browner's suspension did not start officially until December 18th with 2 games left in the regular season. That means 6 of his 8 games that he missed this past season were counted as injuries not suspension. So at most you can claim that Suspensions cost your team an extra 6 games. There are plenty of teams that fell in that area or close with 4 game suspensions.

So sorry but my stats still hold pretty true. Throw in again what matters is how much of the team was still intact at the end of the year when you need them most. I could care less if Von Miller and Ryan Clady missed the first 4-6 games because of injuries or suspensions. There are enough bad teams that we will play that we can overcome that and still make the playoffs. I would much rather have the games they play be the most important ones not some regular season game against some 4-12 team.

First off, who cares about the "1st place schedule" that the Seahawks have this year? It only affects two games. Other than that, Seattle plays the exact same schedule of everyone else in the division.

Sea: GB, Car
SF: Chi, NO
Ari: Det, TB
StL: Min, Atl

The only truly awful team of the bunch is Min.

You say that the league is going to take away what Wilson does best? And what is that? Scramble away from pressure? Hopefully the Seahawks take that away with an improved line because it can't get much worse from last season.

Seattle's roster is just entering its prime while SF is over theirs. While StL has some great players, they lack at the skill positions to consistently put up points. Can they still win? Sure, and they'll win a good amount of games, but against Seattle, I don't think anyone in their right mind would favor the Rams. Arizona is another team that is on the cusp of being great but still would not be favored against the Seahawks.

I fully believe that this Seahawks team could run the table this season. It more than likely won't happen, especially with their SOS, but they definitely have the talent to do so. May end up being one of the all time great defenses in league history.

If you think Seattle ''runs the table'', you are on crack. SF is every bit as good as Seattle. St Louis might be a year away, but if their QB remains healthy, they match up with Seattle. The Seahawks weakness, their OL, will be dismantled by the Rams front four. The Rams additions of Greg Robinson on the OL and Tre Mason at running back will help them pound the rock at Seattle's undersized front, neutralizing their great secondary

You keep talking about how it will ALL come down to Seattles oline. With the injuries they sustained, they were possibly the worst in the league and still won 13 games, including several against these teams with great front sevens. Oh, but this year, watch out!

I don't think you can say San Fran is over the hill at this point considering they have had I would bet the most draft picks in the NFL over the past 2 years and have some young guys with opportunities to step into the starting line up or at least an impact role. Yes they have some of the big name guys being 30 or older but it is not like they have scrubs behind them. Many have early round pick types right behind them like that of Gore with 2 RB's that both were considered the best of their draft class waiting in the wings. Boldin is getting up in age but not like they don't have some young receivers on the roster fighting for roster spots either.

Also do have to agree with UK in I do think St. Louis is going to be a tough match up for Seattle as their strengths line up well with Seattle's weaknesses. I still expect Seattle to win but those are not going to be easy wins at all.
