The Heisman trophy winner QB of the undefeated #1 ranked team in college football is sailing passes 10 yards over his receivers heads.

Something stinks here. We'll see what happens as this game goes on....

Maybe he is waiting for the 2nd half to make an epic comeback :laugh3:

That's what's so much fun about conspiracy theories. No matter what the outcome you can make it fit the narrative somehow.

I bet if the Bengals won the superbowl

a) This thread wouldn't have been posted
b) If it was posted, the claim would be "FINALLY, the NFL stopped fixing it's games. About damn time!"

This just in!! NFL referee sneaks David Tyree some glue for the top of his helmet, to ensure the Patriots go 18-1, and lose the Superbowl!

The Bills "refuse" to get a capable Quarterback, as to ensure their basement status in the state of New York....or are they just paid more?

NFL is happily anticipating an upcoming blockbuster movie, "The Back Side", telling the story of Jerome Bettis' rigged ride to his hometown Superbowl win! Big Ben's shoestring tackle on JB's fumble had nothing to do with it!

Now I know why Jim Fassel made that prediction... he put all his chips in because he knew!

...and so what if articles are printed minutes before something, that's common practice, to get it out first... you don't think championship hats and shirts are made of the losing teams?

I'm so done with this (as I'm sure you're done with me).

The obviously hate Dan Marino and Tony Gonzalez too!!!! (among countless others)

This has absolutely nothing to do with the Bengals.

The Bengals winning anything would be the BEST evidence for foul play.

Anyone who thinks it's all or nothing is probably wrong. If the Bengals won the superbowl I would probably attribute it to them being better than some of the teams they played, and getting very lucky. If we made it to the AFC championship, we'd only be beating 2 teams we already beat, no stretch there.

Some games have fixed or desired outcomes, that much is certain. How many? don't know. I know it happens because I'm not retarded. I don't think every game is fixed, that would be retarded too. oh well, call me a moderate, lol.

I wonder about a ref having a bias or getting a little extra from a third party to look the other way on close calls sometimes. I don't think it's the league.
I disagree with the article writer about some of his points. If it was all about TV and not attendance, the league would've done all they could to get the Jags to LA. Even if it's not a real football town attendance-wise, it's a huge TV market and the Jags have the lowest pull-radius from their stadium of any team in the league. They didn't even funnel Tebow there to try and get the locals excited. Plus, many of the teams that the networks always try and shove at us aren't any good right now. They hyped the RGIII's and the NYG's all offseason and they both bombed. Dallas and Pitt both missed the playoffs too.

A good example is that Greg Jennings fumble from last season. The Packers were on the verge of getting blown out early....Jennings clearly fumbles. Every replay angle clearly shows this. There's no dispute at all. It's irrefutable....the ref takes a look and comes back and says his ankle was down. His ANKLE? WTF!? The league didn't want a blow out. They want people to watch for a 4 quarters...to see all those commercials.

By whom and how ? Supply an example scenario.

The jury is still out depending upon how you answer the question.

The NFL has officially admitted to 2 games being fixed in its entire history. The latest being a Lions game in 1971. Google it.

I'd read the book "Interference" if you want to see how shady this all really is, though.

There's some huge ego things going on in Jacksonville, when they're done with the current round of failure that team might move, I guess. Having a team there has been a failed experiment.

If any part of your leg is down you're down. Have you never seen a guy down by contact with a shin before?

Wrong. It's never been called before or since.
