On Wisconsin
If Clemson loses one more game they're obviously out. But even now they don't have a real quality win, and got blown out at home.

Who beats them? maybe a 7-2 #10 South Carolina.
Big apple I have been saying this for a while now. Have to see how other things play out to know who would take the spot though.
Gilmore made an EXCELLENT point in the game about how the American Conference will screw up a team (he used Wisconsin as an example) of getting left out of the BCS. Since the American Conference is a Power Conference, it gets an automatic bid. But the rule is that if a non automatic conference team finishes in the top 16, they automatically get a BCS bid if they are ranked higher than a power conference champion. There is almost no way an American conference team finishes higher than Northern Illinois and Fresno State.
Ill make an argument for Wisconsin and it has nothing to do with who anyone has beaten. Wisconsin has one of the 3 or 4 best traveling fanbases in the country so to discount them is absurd. Bowls care about ratings and how much money gets spent in their town. Now if it came down to CLemson and Wisconsin then neither team is bringing heavy ratings but I can promise you the Badgers bring more fans. Its the same reason the B10 gets 2 BCS bids almost every single year because you can talk about the league being down the last 5 years or so but aside from the SEC no conference brings fans like the B10. Not the P12, not the ACC, not the B12 ( aside from OU and Texas ). You can make a legit argument that outside of the SEC that 5 or 6 of the next 10 best traveling fanbases in the country reside in the B10.
USC? Is that a joke? Here are teams I can name for sure that have better traveling fanbases than Wisconsin.
Notre Dame
Michigan
Ohio State
Texas
Florida
USC
I don't think anyone can argue those.

I would argue with all but Ohio State and MAYBE ND/Michigan for a January bowl game.

Clemson beat a Georgia team in the first game of the season that was VERY GOOD, before they were bitten by the injury bug.
How many quality wins does Wisconsin have exactly?...
