They are behind Duke for heaven sakes. Their ranking was based off of beating a 4-5 Florida team also.
Because they are 7-2 and are a top25 team.
If you want to bitch about rankings, then at least figure out how they work.
Because Florida?
How do they work? I mean Duke has an identical record.
I know that much. After that loss to VT and seeing the fact that Florida will finish 5-7, the voters should have knocked Miami out of there.
Better question is why LSU is ranked, and why Georgia was actually ranked in a few polls.
You know why, stop trying to start something.
So basically, what your saying is even though Stanford beat Oregon, Stanford should drop to about 24 or 25 because they did lose to a unranked team?
FSU looks top 3 right now and VT is a rivalry game that goes back and forth. By seasons end Miamis 2 losses(so far) will be to ranked teams while a top 5 teams loss is to a unranked.
By your philosophy, Stanford should not be Top 5.
Theres many other example but I chose stanford because of the high ranking and loss to a unranked.

Need to keep FSU's quality wins alive?

Not even their best win. Clemson is still in the top 10.
To answer the OP. It is the preseason polls. They lose one more and they will be unranked. Why are you worried about Miami anyways?
