When Saban coached the Dolphins, and especially after he left, I remember one NFL 'insider' after another reporting conversations with Dolphins players saying how he was such an a-hole to them and made them feel bad. One particular whiny complaint that sticks out to me is that Saban would sometimes walk by players in the hallway and not even acknowledge them.

Grown men should be expected to act like grown men no matter their profession. After what has came out about Incognito and how Dolphins players, and players on other NFL teams too, have mindlessly rushed to his defense with senseless ignoramus justifications based upon 'it's just how it is', it is clear to me this organization and others in the league are in desperate need of a serious minded intelligent GROWN man with a hardass streak a mile long.

AKA Nick Saban

NFL players are allowed to act like spoiled brats, and head coaches often have to treat them with kid-gloves.

Its one of many reasons I've no use for the NFL.

And then he gave Urban Meyer a near heart attack and ran him out of Florida.

Funny how shit works.

I'm surprised that so many people have strong opinions about what really transpired in Miami. The more I hear about that story, the less clear it becomes.

saban couldnt cut in the nfl and went back to college where he had success. eot.

dont try to rewrite history with his dick in your mouth.

He left the NFL because he didnt have the control he wanted. Take New England for example where ownership lets the COACH and not the players and themselves dictate the strategy, they have had sustained success even when having inferior talent. The truth is too many NFL teams view their coaches as personality managers instead of leaders. You might also note whenever he has had control over the situation and the power to effect change he has always been successful. And, to be blunt, anyone who cant see that is either a shitty troll or just plain stupid. The body of work speaks for itself.

I am not sure that is accurate. He didnt stay long enough to show if he could or not. Belichick was not burning it up in his first three seasons either going 20-28. So to say Saban couldnt cut it in ridiculous because he didnt stay long enough to turn the corner with a team that had no QB and a recent history of losing.

Hard to look like a grown man when you still have to use the booster seat at restaurants.

having lived in miami during his tenure there and before he became your idol, i can respectfully tell you that you are wrong. his methods didnt fly with grown men and he couldnt or wouldnt change, so he went back to where he was successful.

Easy now, your coach hasnt remembered to close his mouth for over a decade when he isnt talking. There's got to be hobos living in there by now.

And knowing how Belichick is with his players(Saban is a Belichick disciple) its not hard to see that given time he would have made a swing his his teams attitude and shown them his way was the way it was going to happen. You base it off two years and I showed that even at three years Belichick was not a winner, but he managed to do some pretty good things down the road since then. They are cut from the same cloth and Saban could have done the same things had he stayed.

Yeah, but then he flashes his four BCS title rings and his wallet and they see the man that many will never be but wish they could be.

Oh no, they work. The principles to success are universal. The problem was the team was packed with bitches who couldnt handle not being coddled. Ive seen the same thing in my own professional experience, except in my case I was dealing with 40 something year old business mgrs. and ultimately I had to clean house and in the process every hack became my enemy. When I work with someone I dont care if they pat me on the back or are my friend, I just want them to make us better and by doing so do the only thing that matters in business when it comes right down to it and that is make us more money.

This aint complicated stuff.

B/c every man on Earth would lovvvvvvvve to be nick saban or just an alabama fan in general. I mean we are all just scratching and clawing in our pitiful little existences to be half of what the typical Alabama coach/player/alumni/fan is. How do we even live with ourselves in the presence of such greatness?
