RA and HISL used to hang together and don't realize it?

It's a long way from North O to South O. Two different worlds. I did go to church on 20th and Deer Park though.

I spent a lot of time at Hitchcock park as a teen too. That's where everyone hung out (means gurls were there)

I lived all over Omaha but was South when it came time to start hanging out with friends.

I lived near 20th and Ames (about two blocks east and west of there) when I was real little. That area was bad even then. That's where I stole a bike and the cops caught me and took me home.

My mom wailed on my ass for that one.

Then 42nd and Decatur, then 32nd and Q, then 27th and J. Oh there was a 40th and Maple before 20th and Ames.

I don't think they did back then (late 70's) unless you went in with a group of young people.

I used to have cops tell me to take it home and don't let them see me again that night when I got drunk and drove. Those days are gone.

Yeah, I was always with older folks. My uncle, my brother, older friends..

It was 79', 80'

We used to buy beer, cigs, and chew at 14 in Shenandoah, Ia anywhere from 13 -16 y/o.

When my brother and I were at my grandparents farm w/ my cousins, we'd go into the town mom&pop and just tell them it was for grandpa. Of course it had to be same beer (falstaff), cigs (Winston Reds) and chew (Redman).

Whoever was working that day would always ask "How is Andy?" We'd say "Fine, But he's real busy today".

LMAO

Lived in South 'O' (20th & Deer Park) for 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade.
Moved to Ralston for 5th - graduation High school.
Moved to North 'O' in 1980 cause my folks moved to Germany, I was on my own and poor as fuck. The bar I'm referring to was the Wagon Tongue on 16th and Abbott Dr. Twas a rough crowd. It's closed now.

We'd go swimming at Hitchcock.

My brother and I used to go to Spring Lake golf course, fetch the golf-balls out of the ponds and sell them to golfers. Made good money that way.

16th and Abbott Drive. Isn't that 16th and Cumming?

That was some bad area back then too. Did they have ripple on tap?

No..

16th and Abbott Dr is out by the Epply Airport. Mostly warehouse jobs out that way.

Abbott DR used to be the place to go for Friday/Saturday night racing back in the day. We used to race for $$ and some even raced for pink slips.

Dodge St was for rookies.

I have a feeling this thread has legs and will be active well beyond Jan 1, 2013.

Reason being is that with Ohio St and Penn St out of the bowl picture it will put NU into a bowl beyond their capability of being competitive. There will be no at large BCS for the B1G 10, so...

1. Rose - Slight chance, probably against Oregon. They'll hammer NU.
2. Capital One- Versus SEC #3
3. Outback- Versus SEC #4

It may be better for NU to get a 3rd tier bowl that they can win, to go into next season on a positive note.

sadly...Rose will probably have USC because i think oregon is going to the NCG.

Outback will probably have Florida - who will kill us
and do you think a husker/cock rematch in cap one?
