Is spending $110M to piss off fans a good business model?

I actually prefer watching games on Peacock. Their stream is amazing. It's like $5 a month, and even if you don't want to sign up, I think you can get a free trial. Just cancel afterwards.
I'm guessing anybody looking for a free trial for Sunday's game will be out of luck. When I googled "Peacock free trial", I just got pages that directed me to sign up for $6/month.

Peacock owners (and probably the rest of the industry) will be interested in the test results - how many people will sign up just to watch one football game?

They may not do the free trial any longer. I've had the subscription for more than a year now.

It really is a good deal for the content you get with it. At least I've thought so.

For $5-6? What's the alternative, a sports bar? You'll spend that much in beer upcharges almost immediately.

What was it?
TNF is now averaging 12.58 million viewers this season, a figure that excludes the Black Friday Jets-Dolphins game (9.61M) — up 29% from the same point of last season (9.74M). Viewership is up a more modest 17% in adults 18-34 (to 2.61M) and 21% in adults 18-49 (5.93M).

lol true enough
Rm gets prime free with her Amazon account....I definitely tuned into more games this season than last but I stilll probably watch less than half of them. Streaming sports is such a pita. We had to hook a laptop up to the TV because that's where I want to watch a game on a 55" screen not a tiny laptop screen. And forget about clicking around during the commercials or if you want to hit bed early and watch the end of the game from there. Nfl got their millions but it wasn't for the fans benefit.

 bye bye to some old timers but nfl still won't care....anyone got the numbers on tnf prime games?

When Peacock starts offering me free delivery for my online purchases I'll consider paying for it too. But for now I'll pass... the Chiefs aren't exactly must see TV this season anyway.

yea man digging through these numbers are hard to compare 2021 to 2022. 2022 to 23 is definitely way up though. So if they lost anything its trending back up

Yeah, we earned this purgatory this year. Honestly, though, a lot of the high flying AFC pass offenses have been grounded this year. KC/Miami will likely come down to whoever runs the ball better

The NFL thinks their fans are cucks and’ll submit to whatever to watch their game.
