Toronto's new pitcher starts the inning facing 2 batters, throws 17 pitches and gives up a 2 run HR without recording an out

A lot of pitches seen, a lot of foul balls, some walks, and some long at bats, but they result in no runs. Give me a hit on the first pitch any day over a 10 pitch at bat that doesn't result in anything other than a temporarily tired pitcher.

I know most feel a lot differently than I do, but I hate the idea that long at bats where you see a lot of pitches is a great at bat even if you get out. A great at bat results in a hit to me.

I wish we did it better with Gausman

It's pretty situational with me.....lots to elaborate on but it depends on where you are at in the game and lots of other things

Yeah, I know that is the current big thing, but I hate seeing guys get behind in the count by taking strikes. That is true even if they foul a bunch of pitches off eventually. 4 or 5 fouls doesn't count in the run column.

I like to wear a pitcher out, not wear him down. Beat the pitcher with hits unless he isn't throwing strikes.
