Mad respect to the big guy.

Jokic went up to every Heat player before celebrating.

I think they’d kill the Celtics. I believe the Sixers would have given them a good series tho. Embiid usually outplays Jokic when they play each other.
I disagree. The Celtics 5 out offense would have allowed the Celtics to seek favorable matchups that the Heat couldn’t find. I also think that the Celtics are a more consistent three point shooting team. The Celtics were out classed this year with a coach that shouldn’t have been a head coach on a contender and it was their undoing.

I just don't get not playing Herro. It's not like anyone was shooting lights out and playing him would hurt the chemistry. Everyone was playing either mediocre or trash. Herro could have been a big spark. I mean damn Zeller got minutes.

It's not like midseason Herro was going to come into the game. He hasn't played in two months and is still recovering from a broken wrist. If Spo thought he could make a difference, he would've been in there.

Point been if that was the plan then fine dont make him active. Really simple

You activate one of your best players after being injured and the expectations rightfully so is he will get some minutes

Who is he getting traded to, lol.
I agree he shouldn’t put that shit on social media but he should be thinking that way. If he’s not, what are we even doing?

Despite being good basically everywhere he's been, he keeps getting bounced around. Dude should probably take the money right now. Especially with this FA class not being all that strong and there's teams out there that will have to spend

Should get a full MLE offer somewhere at minimum IMO. 4 years, 50M-ish.

This would be huge but the dude could just be riding the high of winning a title. Give him a few weeks and he may reconsider though I hope he doesn't.

There's also the factor that Denver may be counting on him leaving to stay away from that 2nd apron. Not that they want him to, but are accepting of that.

I hear you, but my point is this team needs to fix their weakness, which is rebounding.

They allow way too many 2nd chance points and can’t make an offensive rebound on the other hand either.

Whether it’s a stretch 4 like Portis or someone who can grab a lot of boards like a Looney would be huge for them. They just have to find on of these types of players.

Fix that and I believe they have a roster good enough to win the ship.
I doubt Portis is going anywhere. Heat are in a tough spot to try to add to this roster. They are at $173M for 9 players (Jimmy, Bam, Herro, Lowry, Robinson, Oladipo, Martin, Jovic, and Highsmith. Highsmith's $1.9M isn't guaranteed and Oladipo can opt out of his $9.5M (would he with his injury history though?). The cap hold for their 1st round pick is $3.5M plus $3.3M cap hold for the 3 open roster spots under 12 total (would be 2 after the draft), so they are right up against that 2nd tax apron before even considering bringing back Strus and/or Vincent.

Getting over that apron means very restrictive movement opportunities (no buyout players, no exceptions, etc) but most of that kicks in for 24/25. However, they likely need to keep this year's spending under control so that they can easily get back under that apron. That likely means letting Oladipo and/or Lowry expire after next season, not trading them for matching salary coming back. They're other 4 big contracts all have at least 3 years left on them (Herro has 4).

Reality should probably be a factor. They barely made the playoffs and were stomped out quick. But sure, dream big.

The thing I’m struggling the most with is that Reggie Jackson has a ring.

At least a team that truly deserved a title got a title.

At least there was some defense being played in the series.

At least the season is finally over.
