Regardless of how likely it is or not or what would happen with the rest of the season. State and explain your preference.
So I do not really understand the arguments for not expanding. The most common thing said against expansion is that there aren't more than 4 teams that are needed to determine the best... but this is silly reasoning in my opinion and ultimately faulty logic specifically from a fans perspective. If you can agree that the two best teams would be in the 4, then they would be in the 8 and/or 16 as well. If they are the best, they will win and prove it. If they lose... then they were clearly not the best. You can only be the best at the given time you are playing, if not... then why bother at all? Why not simply put Bama and Clemson in each year going forward given that they have been the best most consistently and recently. You don't do that, because things change and any team can win on any given Saturday. You play to know.
People may say things like... What if Team H beats Team A when we know Team A is better. Well then I would say that Team A was not the best and clearly not better at the time they played and that is what matters Why would I care if you were better a week ago or 2 weeks from now, you need to be better AT THE TIME you are playing. Every team is only as good as they are when they are playing. If team H beat you that 1 out of 10 time, that is all that is needed, just like throughout the regular season.... as the saying goes 'Any given Saturday'.
