SEC fans use every excuse imaginable as to why they refuse to play their own conference members.
It's a mathematical fact that conferences that play a 9 game conference schedule lose more games than conferences that play an 8 game conference schedule. That isn't speculation, that is a mathematical fact and is the reason the SEC and ACC refuse to play their own conference members.Great win, BTW but that was in the post season. Being in the post season does not diminish the win in any shape or form, but going into the playoff discussion was an unknown. What was known was that you lost to an 8 win Auburn and a 6 win ASU team. For the 9 conference game argument to come into play, you have to argue that this year ASU would have been that game and without it you would have been a playoff contender. The crux of the argument that @AlaskaGuy is making is that playing ASU and eight other PAC teams is somehow worse than playing UGA, LSU, Bama, the other five SEC games and an FCS team. It is purely a quality versus quantity argument without any merit. The SEC went through a period of being looked at as a weak conference … until we started winning the BCSCGs and having great OOC/bowl records.

North Carolina, Wake Forest to meet in non-conference game on Friday - CollegeFootballTalk | NBC Sports <--- LOL?
The OOC record for the SEC was not stellar going into the postseason.
Facts of the matter is not only does the SEC refuse to play its own conference members, it also plays less P5 team on average than any other P5 conference. Now we all know why the SEC teams refuse to play each other so no need to kid ourselves into thinking they do this in order to schedule better OOC games .. because that is not a fact. You are falling back on the conference record instead of any team … When LSU beat a SEC team, did that hurt LSU's chances at the CFP because the SEC lost one??? They beat UGA, Vandy and UF from the East, which remaining SEC East team would have made them stumble?
No it was not. We are currently enjoying the flip side of what we were facing pre 06 which is the benefit of the doubt. That did not happen by accident and it won't last forever but eight conference games is not the reason nor is it a factor.

It's a mathematical fact that conferences that play a 9 game conference schedule suffer more losses compared to the conferences that refuse to play their own conference members and is the very reason the 14 member SEC is not only a 12 year rotation but they also play the least amount of regular season P5 opponents compared to the other four P5 conferences. You are falling back on the conference record instead of any team … When LSU beat a SEC team, did that hurt LSU's chances at the CFP because the SEC lost one??? They gotta be. Don't you know they are the "Conference of Champions"?Do you think the Pac 12 is a better conference than the SEC?

I'm sticking to facts, not speculation. You are starting to sound like HRC arguing the popular vote versus the EC and blaming everyone else for you not winning. Lets try this again:
You are falling back on the conference record instead of any team … When LSU beat a SEC team, did that hurt LSU's chances at the CFP because the SEC lost one??? They beat UGA, Vandy and UF from the East, which remaining SEC East team would have made them stumble?
Oh look a ND team is Top 10...again...look out for the 8-4/9-3 year.
It’s not about where they are ranked in the preseason it’s where they finish. Or is Minnesota not a good team because they aren’t ranked in the preseason?Cal and North Carolina? How can that be, they are on Minnesota's ooc schedule in the future, they must suck.
The PAC teams play nearly one more regular season P5 opponent on average compared to their SEC counterparts. Please don't tell me you attended college.I'm not sure why you keep bringing this up. All that shows me is the Pac 12 plays .8 OOC games next season on average. Why is the Pac 12 as a whole afraid to play P5 teams OOC?
