Pats are way under the cap and Brady needs a solid vet receiver. AJ and Hunter Henry going to NE. Book it.

The Bengals are even more under the cap, and they are jettisoning Dalton's 17.7 million dollar salary to add to that cap. So they are going to be about $75 million under the cap when all FA players come off the books. AJ Green will stay a Bengal for life. Book it.

And all you pussies saying "I only watch the Mask Singer cuz my wife does" or " I just saw a video of Gronk's performance"?

Yeah, everyone of yah STFU. You watch the show. Just own it, pussies. You can keep your man card.
I have never seen an episode. Absolute truth.

And you are correct Gronk is done, retired and I also think TB plays with the Pats next year. Although I am ready to move on should the come to pass.

I believe the choice is AJ's, no? Is he a loyal guy or does he sense his career winding down and would rather go to a champion than stay with a green QB and rebuilding team. You can answer that question better than I.

I see Brady being a shell of his former self. I see the end of the Patriot dynasty coming to a close. I don't think he would see NE as the best place to accomplish that. Maybe SF or NO if Bees comes back. I could see KC also, but don't see him fitting in that style of offense given his age and injury history.

People have been saying that about Brady for years. You can't go off of last year's results. His receiving corps last year were easily the worst of his 20-year career. Easily. No contest.

Besides, he is already on record saying he wants to end his career in Cincinnati. I don't see him taking a home town discount, but I think he is truly wanting to end his career with Cincinnati, because AJ Green is one of the most humble, selfless players in the NFL and I see him being a loyal player. He likes the old days, and how guys would play their entire career with one team. He says that is the way it should be more often. So I can see it happening, him staying in Cincinnati, but I don't see him taking a home town discount. Besides, I doubt Mike Brown lets him leave without slapping the franchise tag on him.

They also looked worse because Brady didn't look very good last year either. That defense saved them. Because if that was a middle of the pack defense, they win 6 to 7 games MAYBE.

If that is true then why did Edelman have the best year of his career? His performance contradicts your claim that Brady is to blame for the receiver's poor showings.

Somehow Edelman has this knack for getting wide, wide open. Hard to miss him most of the time. So if he had the best year of his career, then your statement contradicts your claim of Brady having no weapons around him.

But i never said he had 'no weapons'. That's your rather convenient interpretation of what I said. What I actually said was that he had the worst receiving corps of his career.

I will give you that. I didn't mean to change your narrative. I was just responding, and in my memory I thought you had said no weapons. That was on me.

However, he had weapons in Antonio Brown, but they decided to just pay him 9 million for a game instead of dealing with the fall out. They had Josh Gordon too for a few games as well, I believe. So yeah, some of this was self-inflicted from a franchise. I still was not impressed with Brady's accuracy in a lot of games. I got to see about 5 or 6 of his games. We will see how Brady does in Oakland. :)

They put too much faith in Brown and Gordon while, at the same time, under-estimating the hole Gronk left. That isnt Bradys fault.

And damn you for forcing me to defend the guy. I dont even like him. Begrudgingly respect him but never liked him.

I don't know if anyone else has posted this, I didn't read through the thread, but I'm pretty sure Gronk is on the masked singer as the white tiger.

Gronk stays “relevant” in the NFL by continuously hinting at a comeback.

he’s not coming back

as was his line. and the team relies on TE play, especialy blocking, to help the run so he can play action off it.

that didnt work at all last year. he also set a career high in "throw away passes/plays"...or passes thrown immediately to the ground to kill the play. 3x his last career high. he was literally giving up on plays after the snap.

i live here in KC and it really is absurd how many people are just assuming the chiefs are going to become a dynasty now. Granted, they haven't been in this position in 50 years so they don't know how to handle it but it is hard as hell to win one in this league, no less several in a short period of time.

Bottom line...KC needs to do whatever they can to get back to the SB while Mahomes is still on the rookie deal because after he bags a market value QB for a SB winning franchise QB, the task will get considerably more difficult.

I was talking to a chiefs fan the other day and he said mahomes was going to sign a team friendly deal.

I said to him that means $40 mill per. He asked why. I told him if mahomes actually went on the market, teams would be falling over themselves to pay him $60 mill per.

QB is so important in this league and mahomes would elevate any roster greatly so many teams would pay out the ass to have him
