What chance do you give the Titans to come out of the AFC

Their defense isn't good enough. The Pats played like shit in the 2nd half of the season and just didn't have a good day, but I don't see the Titans keeping Houston/KC/Balti (whoever it comes down to) in check defensively... and while Henry is good... I don't think you can rely on him ENTIRELY to carry through 2 more games. Also, I don't believe Tannehill can 'take over' a game.

About the same chance as the Texans.

A few reasons no chance. First off, have to play the Ravens. Ravens run D is very good and doubtful Henry can repeat this performance. Also, can the Titans D stop Jackson and that offense? I think not. And given those 2 things, can Tannehill carry the team to some miracle upset? Sorry but I just don't see it. Nice win yesterday and good for Vrabel and his bunch but momentum is only as good as your next game and the Ravens are far superior in every way. There is likely a blowout coming.

Haven't seen a thread on this but just curious what everyone thinks. Team with all the belief and momentum, good coaching and built to keep the KC and Baltimore offenses on the sideline. Won't say it's a great chance but wouldn't be totally shocked if they win the AFC, at the least they should give anyone they play a real tough time.

Not very good.

As the 6th seed, they go to BAL next week...that's not a good matchup for them imo...Ravens DEF is built to defend the run better than KC...different, but they are obviously used to practicing against a tough running attack. I don't think they get out of BAL with a win.

Now, if they somehow win in BAL...they would go to the winner of HOU @ KC...If that happened, I would give them a 50% shot against either HOU or KC.

My footballoutsiders numbers I'm looking at are saying the Patriots had the 6th ranked rush defense and Baltimore has the 19th ranked rush defense.

I think the issue that the Titans have with the Ravens is that the Ravens can really jump on teams at the start and if the Ravens get a lead then the Titans are going to have a really hard time coming from behind.

I agree their run stops in BAL...could be a closer game than we think...TN interior DL guys are pretty good and the LB play behind them is very good...it will be curious to see if TN uses a base nickel like they did last night, I think not vs that running attack.

I can see BAL winning this by 2 possessions but I'm not expecting a 14+ margin.

Guess it depends on how many delay of game penalties they can take while punting.

I never trust those overall rankings because I think they get skewed by who the teams face. The Pats defense is solid but they weren't as good late in the season and their run D numbers likely got inflated playing some shitty running teams. That may be the case for the Ravens to a certain degree as well but their D isn't nearly as wore down as the Pats either. The Ravens offense helps keep their D fresh and I think they gang tackle better.

What chance were they given against the Patriots? Don't count them out at all. Henry goes off like he did last night they have a good shot against the Ravens. Same as with the Patriots, don't turn it over and good things happen.

None. Belichick got the league to change the rule, duh!

Smart freaking move by Vrabel! Dude outcoached Belichick for sure!

Not much. This was not a great Pats team. They'll need to score a lot more than 14 points next week.

To get past Baltimore and KC?

I'm guessing Vegas would give you any odds you want on that.

Virtually impossible to beat Baltimore unless they dominate the run game and defensively.

Can't wait to see what happens but it's a very, very tough road to even get past Baltimore.

I agree.

Defense not good enough to dominate and offense is too dependent on Henry. It's pretty simple to game-plan against.

Not much of a chance. Baltimore is on another level this year. Going to take more than the Titans to beat them.

I’ve been telling people that the Patriots aren’t what they used to be. I was giving them a great chance at beating the Patriots. I wasn’t surprised they lost to the Titans. The Titans are solid all around. I would be incredibly surprised if they beat the ravens, though. The only team I see possibly beating the ravens is the chiefs.

I'm not surprised the Titans won either. Just saying, basically no one gave them a chance to win and they pulled it off. Now were the Patriots up to par? Absolutely not but people are overlooking them

We've seen "unbeatable" and "unstoppable" teams get beat before and while if I was putting money on the game I'd put it on the Ravens it's not unreasonable to think the Titans can still win the game.

We just saw the Vikings beat the Saints and I don't think anyone really gave them a chance to win that game.

All the playoff teams are good teams capable of beating each other it's just the great teams are the ones that typically can survive to the end.
