Your poll was created in a manner that allows us to change our selections later. I only voted for 3, and I can add another vote if/when i see it.Why did you vote if you haven’t seen them all?
POLL - Star Wars: final rankings (best)There were really only 2 absolute stinkers (I, II). VIII had its problems (which puts it as the 3rd worst), but it wasn’t as bad as the net-bitches bitch. Solo was a decent movie, if you just ignore the fact it is Star Wars and watch it as a western instead.
my rankings (best to worst)..
IV
V
III
Rogue One
VI
IX (temp ranking)
Solo
VII
VIII
II
I
1 Ep5 The Empire Strikes Back
2 Ep4 A New Hope
3 Rogue One
4 Ep6 Return of the Jedi
5 Ep7 The Force Awakens
6 Solo
7 Ep3 Revenge of the Sith
8 Ep1 The Phantom Menace
9 Ep2 Attack of the Clones
10 Ep8 The Last Jedi
11 Ep9 Rise of Skywalker
It was a virtual tie between 5&6 and 10&11.
TLJ was a real bad story. No way ROS was last. Sure it wasn’t above a 5, but at least it was a Star Wars movie and semi followed the Star Wars arc. Last Jedi was a negative 2 and was a B movie for the SciFy channel. Sharknado insert number was better than Last Jedi.

TROS wasn’t even a story; just a bunch of ‘starwsrzy’ stuff thrown on the screen
I give credence to your first argument, but the second I cannot abide. It is impossible to make a good movie after the clusterfuck, but that’s not the situation at hand. TROS is a horrid, lifeless, tryhard mess. And that didn’t need to happenFair, but a bunch of Star Wars shit thrown at a wall and see what sticks beats the Last Jedi which disregarded the other 7 Star Wars movies entirely. ROS was at a disadvantage because Last Jedi destroyed Force Awakens and didn’t move the trilogy plot in any way. You can’t make up for the 2nd of a trilogy and close it without it being a clusterfuck. It’s essentially if they tried making Rocky 4 without Rocky 2 or 3. Rocky 4 would be a terrible movie if you try to pack the Drago fight in while trying to figure out how to put the story of 2 and 3 at the same time.
That's how I feel about IX. It should have been done over VIII and IX because, while I appreciate more or less what it was going for, there's just way too much shit jammed in there that could've been more fleshed out over two movies.Fair, but a bunch of Star Wars shit thrown at a wall and see what sticks beats the Last Jedi which disregarded the other 7 Star Wars movies entirely. Oh don't get me wrong, I completely agree on VIII as a Star Wars movie and the bind that put them in for IX. I'm not surprised they didn't postpone IX, a lot of pressure to get it out on time and a lot antsy fans who were already skeptical after VIII would've been hard to appease in the wake of that. I also don't disagree that it would've been a better end movie than middle, obviously a few things would need changed with the ending and wrapping it up but it felt more like an end, almost like Rian Johnson just wanted to tie up all the stories the way he wanted while he could.Ya, but there isn’t anything they could really do to disregard the or make up for the Last Jedi. They could’ve postponed it until like 2025 while they made another Star Wars film like Rogue One and did a Mandalorian type series on Disney Plus. I mean they could’ve done what Harry Potter and Twilight did with splitting the last episode into two films but that isn’t Star Wars. Regardless of the politics Last Jedi just killed the story that flowed up until Last Jedi. You can’t kill the bad guys you just created, can’t kill off beloved characters for no reason, can’t have characters you haven’t even introduced becoming heroes, you can’t have Rey overcome everything in the Last Jedi and have a legit story to have her do it again. Anakin and Luke fail in their 2nd movies nor do they either kill off their mentor or in Luke’s case introduce a new one. You don’t randomly bring a bad guy back. It’s like had Luke killed Darth Vader and the Emperor in Empire or if Anakin turned fully bad in Attack of the Clones. It just doesn’t leave a reasonable story for the final movie of the trilogy.
Godfather III wasn’t a good movie but at least it made sense, Skywalker didn’t because Act II of any trilogy is suppose to be the best not where the good guy overcomes all of the obstacles then you have to create and cram new obstacles into one movie. I hate Last Jedi but it would’ve at least made sense had it been the final movie of the trilogy regardless of the backlash.
