but neil odonnell...well, he was pretty rock solid for almost 15 yrs and won 2 out of 3 superbowls, so i'd say he exceeded expectations, given that the previous 20 yrs worth of Steeler qb's before Ben was....less than stellar, to say the least.
Seriously what good would come of this? I don't even care about the non football side of this. If you want to bring back a QB who hasn't played in years just call freaking Jamarcus Russell he wants to play again.Oh great, the Kaepernick to the Steelers idiots are out.
If they go 2-14 (assuming they beat the Bengals twice) and if Tomlin/Colbert are still around I bet he tries to come back, because they won't draft a QB early.A little harsh but I can take it. [Note to self. Stay away from Kaep jokes.]
But now I'm serious. Does Ben retire? Apologies if this has already been discussed.
He was paid off by Jerruh.but neil odonnell...
oh. nevermind.

dont you love when they used to pay SB MVP's ungodly amounts of money, for one game? without realiznig the player isnt very good? brown had 1 great year, one good year, and one big superbowl.Larry Brown approved.

If Colbert and Tomlin are still around it won't be Tua. What QB is rated to go in the 4th round? Case Cookus?Tank for Tua?
A lot of wasted potential years for dudes like Hines Ward (who still managed a HOF career), Louis Lipps, and Yancey. The dark period (Bradshaw to Ben) did have some good Cowher teams that were just missing a triggerman.
Has there ever been a guy who hasn't played people clamor for more than him (which ironically enough they all want him to go to a team that isn't there's)?Seriously what good would come of this? But that aside the year should be about figuring out if Mason Rudolph's got it and having that circus right behind him lingering over his every move and having an army of out-of-town dolts calling for Kaepernick every time Rudolph makes a bad throw sounds like a great way to destroy his development.
