Oregon is the 4th best team in the Pac 12 North so it’s kind of a wash.
Not according to the AP...but you are welcome to your delusions.

I'm taking the upset over LSU, wasn't thinking about LSU/Bama.Can you imagine the shit talking on here if Texas beats LSU and then LSU beats Bama.
It was fraudulent and many of us pointed it out much of the summer. Not according to the AP...but you are welcome to your delusions.
I don't think anybody who watched the Pac 12 last year really expects Oregon to be the best team in Pac 12 North, regardless of AP ranking. I'd put them "fourthish" overall behind Washington, Furd, Utah and maybe USC overall overall if USC suddenly manages to get their mutant army on the same page. Because USC still has top 5 talent on any given year. It's a Bama tier roster with shit tier leadership basically. Not according to the AP...but you are welcome to your delusions.
Utah and USC are in the south. Wazzu said they were fourth in the north. And if you re basing it off watching last year, USC is well below the Ducks.I don't think anybody who watched the Pac 12 last year really expects Oregon to be the best team in Pac 12 North, regardless of AP ranking. And then there's the Pirate and Herm, who might do some fun stuff. tldr I think it's a mistake to think Auburn beat the class of the Pac 12. I think 4th or 5th best SEC team probably beat the 4th or 5th best team Pac 12 team late.
So it just shows the AP is full of clowns?

Why were they massively overrated? Because they returned 10 starters on offense!! The same 10 starters that managed a 4th place in the Pac12 north finish last year. With the same QB ESPIN is in love with that is now 4-9 in regular season games away from Autzen. They got pretty much all of their tougher games away from Autzen this year. Those that actually looked at the schedules either picked UW or Utah as the team to lead the Pac.
So keep trying to act like this was more than it was if it makes you feel better. Both teams looked about as expected. The ducks still sputter against solid defenses and have a staff that can't seal a game on the road and Auburn was sloppy and made quite a few unforced errors behind a frosh QB that struggled before coming alive a bit and finishing strong. Neither was a real candidate for a playoff run this year.
A&M for sure. I'm not sold yet on Texas being real good. Not bad by any means, but.............TAMU and LSU get their tests next Saturday. If they are pretenders, they will be exposed.
So then we agree that the two teams that played that night were not likely the top teams of their respective league.I've never said otherwise. I have stated on this board that Auburn will battle it out with A&M for 3rd and 4th in the West. I don't think Oregon is going to contend for a playoff spot, but nor do I think anyone else in the Pac North is either, or South for that matter.
Well I am not sure I would say any ranking until week 10 is accurate.
I would say 5th best SEC team.LOL, at the top ranked Pac team choking one out to the the 4th ranked SEC West Team.
arkansas - struggling with portland st
tennessee- lol i can’t stop laughing
ole miss again lol lost to memphis
miss st 10 pts over the raging cajuns? smh
kentucky? border line close game vs toledo. they wouldn’t beat many power 5 teams if any.
south carolina currently losing vs NC
summary: half the conference is weak no wonder bama only gets challenged once or twice a year
A&M won't be 15-20 without an upset of @Clemson, Bama, or @ GEORGIAGeorgia - a possible title contender
Alabama - title contender
LSU - a possible title contender/10 win team
Texas A&M - improved team/top 15-20 team
Auburn - top 25 team
Florida - borderline top 20-25 team
Miss St - will flirt with the top 25 probably but a top 50 team.
South Carolina (starting QB injured), Tennessee, Missouri, Ole Miss, Vandy and Arkansas aren't very good teams at all...all are borderline bowl teams or won't make a bowl
So basically the ACC and PAC 12 are much weaker lolzzz
