it is a league rule. Nothing for them to have to stand firm on.
If I understand it correctly. The only ones that could cabe would be the team.
They could cave & pay fines or whatever for AB to wear his helmet.

Although that makes no sense to me. If you are supposed to wear a certain helmet you shouldnt be allowed on the field with an inferior helmet. I mean what if a player wanted to just wear his grandpa's leather helmet on the field & just pay the fines. It wouldnt be allowed at all.

I am not sure about football helmets which have contact with other helmets during a game or practice...... but hardhats, which you may wear and never have anything hit it, have an expiration date.


Usually 5 years whether anything hit it or not.

I mean for fucks sake, we don't let players decide on the level of safety their equipment will provide!

This idiot can't wear a leather helmet even though at one time that was the norm.
