He can't use his old style helmet.

He went on the field to practice and was wearing his old Steelers helmet that had been painted silver and black. Team officials told him he couldn't wear it even in practice because it did not meet the required safety parameters set by the NFL.

Brown went off like cannon. later, he and his agent had a two hour meeting with the NFL and the rules stand and the NFL will not make individual exceptions for any player. They told him that Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers requested exception and were denied and both are wearing the new helmet. They listened to Browns arguments and said, "NO".

Brown has stormed out of camp and is now threatening to retire. Of course he's also suffering from frost bite of his feet from not wearing protective clothing in a Cryobooth.

Does he love that Shutts helmet that much or is the $50M contract that he has with Shutts that goes away if he doesn't wear it in games???

Gotta love the NFL pretending that they care about player safety.

It doesn't matter that the league is run by hypocrites. The old style helmets are now banned, end of story. AB is just proving once again that he's an idiot and a self centered douche.

lol Brown and Bell will BUST big time on their new teams. Going from a HOF QB, a top 5 OL, to a shit show... please. Brown will probably end around 800 yards and Bell will be < 4 YPC... and injuries from both to boot. Both got their payday. It's exactly why the Pats are so good. They let dorks like this walk. Lock up the QB and fuck everyone else... we'll deal with it through coaching. Seattle seems to have adopted the same philosophy as well after they fucked up by paying the 'Legion of Boom' stupid amounts of cash.

I don't care if it is banned or not. It's his STEELERS helmet. Be a TEAM player and wear a TEAM helmet.

Actually, he did try to paint it with the Raiders colors to disguise it but fucked up because the colors didn't match. More proof of how stupid he is. Like with all those millions he couldn't take it to an artist.

Yep, odds are Silver paint from Home Depot and a couple of Raiders window stickers is gonna like like shit.

Sorry, but this is starting to look like he doesn’t want to be in Oakland. The guy signed for big money, sure. But the realization that the team is in transition looks like it’s given Antonio Brown a bad attitude.

He arrive to camp in a hot air balloon. He has his personal trainer and masseuse on the field for practices. He is late to meetings and reportedly distracted, playing video games. Then there’s the “accident” with the cryo-therapy booth. So now he can’t run or practice fully. Then he somehow misses the hundreds of notifications that safety equipment has been changed and threatens to retire if he can’t use his old helmet.

About the only behaviors left are to beat up the Gatorade dispenser and to claim that his contract pays slave wages...

The list of harder working players would be very long before ABrown is mentioned.

I'd think Gruden is old enough to have seen
Jerry Rice
Walter Payton

Funny part is he was coaching with Rice and said that he thought Brown was a harder worker than him. That should be an instant drug test and mental evaluation

More likely a colonoscopy to confirm that he’s full of shit.

The "moron" already siphoned off 50 million between the Raiders and Steelers for "up coming services" think he already has won, probably won't hurt too bad to walk away counting his cash.

The league should have grandfathered these guys in. Bunch of dumb fucks. All they want is to cause problems.

If they cared about player safety they would spend more money on doctors than public relations and marketing people.
